Yeah, I bet it'll only be a matter of time before we see like, Dubstep Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercials or somethin'.

^^^ Listening to Northern Council right now, it's amazing. That Sebastian triple j mix mentioned them working on the new Kavinsky record. Anyone know when that's due? Sort of looking forward to that. MIDWIFE CRISIS fucked around with this message at 11:32 on Oct 10, 2011 |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGBIINyAonc Tons of respect for this kid. I'm considering going back to NYC to catch the dual billing of him/Porter Robinson, but only if I can find an extra ticket to the Amon Tobin ISAM tour at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple the next night. Any goons have an extra ticket?

Just listened to Justices album all the way through and holy hell what a forgettable album. Doesn't really do anything for me. Bummer. Looking forward to Surkins USA album, although he is recycling a lot of old songs if his teaser sample is any indicator. e; Listened to the Tycho Cd, it is dope as poo poo. Loved "Coastal Brake" last year, so this CD is definitely amazing. GZA Genius fucked around with this message at 13:25 on Oct 14, 2011 |

Caught Feed Me, Excision, Tommy Lee, and Deadmau5 at HoB last night. Great performances by all, but far and away the worst crowd I've ever seen at a show.

Tons of tweens dressed in neon taking way too much MDMA, throwing up in garbage cans, passing out left and right. Every time I'm at a show like that (ID Festival comes to mind) I really think that EDM has reached its peak and it is going to come crashing down on itself in a great big ball of neon fire. I felt like I was at Warped Tour circa 1999.

Philly was a pretty good crowd, not too many candy kids and I didn't see anybody do anything stupid. I'm sure it was happening but wayy better than the garbage crowds I'm used to. Deadmau5 put on quite a show though This is also why I avoid the all ages. It's hard to find that sweet spot between ravers and bros but once in a while I catch a sweet show with an amazing crowd and remember why I do this poo poo in the first place.

It was probably the worst crowd I've ever seen at any show ever. Fratstars starting fights every 10 seconds, people in the front row sitting there just resting on the barracade not even into it, and dudes just slow dancing with their girlfriends during Excision's set like they were at senior prom. And I'm pretty sure I saw a clan of furries with light gloves. I like the college crowd at places like ID Festival where it's a benevolent crowd that are into it but this was another story.

I remember being at Pacha NYC and walking downstairs with my girlfriend and we both look at each other and go, "uhhh why does it smell like pussy?" Sometimes I wonder why some people are at these events in the first place.

Fabric60: Dave Clarke is a good listen so far some nice and dirty techno the only names i recognise on the release were gesaffelstein and i knew Clarke's earlier work and saw him live in belgium a couple of years back so it was still a bit of a mystery going into it but it was an enjoyable listen and didn't get that bored during the mix. I'd recommend it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCxhCbbrAD4 Ponce de Le0n fucked around with this message at 01:22 on Oct 18, 2011 |

I want to suggest something, and maybe someone with some programming experience or database knowledge can pick this up. I want to help make our music discussion more relevant and easier to access. For example, music suggested could be inputted but an individual member or by multiple members and archived. So if someone were reading this discussion on page 110 and saw a post of Justice and liked them, they could access the database and look for all tracks and remixes by Justice and get direct YouTube or Soundcloud links to them. Would something like this be possible through some google tools/database program etc? Goon only accessible of course, but I think it could be great not just for the electro/house discussion but for NMD. I would be willing to help out in the design/production of such a device, but I would like to help make it easier for people to access music of OUR genre and expand their knowledge of what they may be interested in.
