Born agoon. posted:Don't know if it's been posted yet, but non-radio rip versions of those Basement Jaxx remixes of Vampire Weekend's White Sky are now up. This song's the poo poo, I don't care if his voice is kinda high pitched and girly. I liked it so much that it's the intro to my new mix: Mr Viper - Summer's Not Over (on soundcloud) Track listing: 01. Vampire Weekend - White Sky (Basement Jaxx Remix) 02. Fatboy Slim vs. Herve - Machines Can Do The Work 03. Fatboy Slim feat. Lazy Rich - Weapon Of Choice 2010 (Lazy Rich Remix) 04. Tim Berg - Alcoholic (Original Mix) 05. Mr Blink - Gecko (Original mix) 06. Felguk feat. Sporty O - 2nite 07. Moby - Walk With Me (Carl Cox Remix) 08. Jack Beats - Out Of Body 09. Black Box vs. Benny Benassi - Everybody Everybody 10. Aniki feat. Whiskey Pete - Put On My Raving Kicks (Cold Blank Remix) 11. Bart B. More - Brap (Original Mix) 12. Stafford Brothers - Wasted (Sidney Samson Remix) 13. Pendulum - The Island pt. 2 (Dusk) 14. Swedish House Mafia - One (Original Mix) 15. Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker (Original Mix) 16. Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk (Laidback Luke Remix) 17. The Chemical Brothers - Swoon I'd really love some feedback on it, it's now the fourth big mix I've put together, and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. My last one wasn't as tight, I think. The tracks flow together better in this one. Check it out! Mr Viper fucked around with this message at 21:05 on Aug 25, 2010 |

I'm seeing the Chemical Brothers this weekend in Oakland, but to be honest, I haven't really heard very much of their stuff. I'm going on the recommendation of one of my friends who says that it shouldn't be missed. Could someone recommend me an album / few songs to check out to get caught up with their sound? I have their latest I believe, but that's it.

I'm seeing them Sunday here in LA They've got an unbelievable catalog, but you're best off listening to the new album "Further" and the previous album "We Are The Night" to hear their current style, then moving back to the beginning with "Dig Your Own Hole" to hear how they started out. Those 3 albums, and you should be set.

For Chemical Brothers concert, it's almost enough to bring your sight. They have the most awesome visual show I've seen. Gotta love thos robots walking towards one. Also, the green overdose while they go from "get yourself high" to "hey boy hey girl" (see youtube)

Anybody here big fans of Hybrid? They got me into all of the genres that accompany electronica and everything talked about here, all after hearing them in the PS2 racing game Kinetica back in 2001. They've also scored several films, such as Man on Fire. I particularly love: Theme from Wide Angle Sinequanon Disappear Here Break My Soul On the more downtempo side of electronica/trip-hop, I heartily recommend Etro Anime: Danger Another Life

I really admire him as a producer for having that kind of effect on people. MustangCharlie fucked around with this message at 00:58 on Aug 29, 2010 |

http://nightdrve.blogspot.com/2010/08/new-danger-remix.html *New* Acid Washed (Danger Remix) I was kind of disappointed with this, because I'm a fan of the original and Danger's my fave. I think much more could have been done, but it's certainly not godawful and it is relaxing. Danger's just better at producing his own

By the way, Melee, for some reason, I always thought you were a rapper, never gave your music a chance until just now, and I really dig it. I wish I listened to your stuff while I still lived in the bay area.

I wish I listened to your stuff while I still lived in the bay area. The 94.9 mixes are nowhere near what a live set is like. I'll see if I can find an actual set from one of the clubs or something. It's way better, there's a ton of top 40 in the 94.9 mixes. Thank you for the comments - you probably heard me rapping on something for fun, but yeah, I've been making disco house for almost 11 years now. I got off the path a little bit with some weird synthpop type stuff, but my next album is pretty much all disco.
