Let's bring is back a bit in the house scene

Totally. I am a sucker for funk/disco/house -- here are a couple of my favorite tracks at the moment:

TiTAN - Bruxism Groove

I think I came across that second one in a Duck Sauce minimix -- I'm sure a lot of you browsing this thread are already on Duck Sauce, so I didn't post any, but I'm really diggin' the collaboration there.

EDIT: foold ya heres duck soss

Fred Falke is suhweet, too. He remixed that Miike Snow song better than I think anyone else. More to my taste, anyways, than the more well-known Fake Blood and Crookers versions:

For those of you that like funky house or the french touch sound, check out Louis La Roche, one of my favorite artists at the moment. He's only about nineteen years old but he produces incredibly good house reminiscent of Daft Punk's fronchy style, despite being british. DESPITE BEING BRITISH!!!!!

I know that this thread is called the "house/etc." thread, but I was wondering if there is a...well, real house thread - not to impune upon the musicality of this thread by any means, there's some good stuff in here but a lot of it's sort of electro-poppy 2007-present electronica and electro stuff (ed banger, boyz noize, van she etc blah blah) which I love and all but I've clicked around and haven't found anything devoted to the chicago stuff slash funky french touchy touchy stuff etc. Jack had a groove, man. If there is such a thread could someone direct me to it. kak kalal

Hey just wondering if anyone else lives in a city that still tries to have a rave scene like we had from the mid 90's through the early 2000s?

couldn't you buy the baseball stadium for like $500 and turn it into a dope venue at this point

there are actually some pretty dope parties thrown in detroit's dilapidated buildings now and then. One particularly large party, Funk Night (funk 45s and really dope detroit hip hop artists, one friday a month), just moved into a legitimate venue a couple months ago but for the longest time it has been held in various locations across the city, mainly warehouses/the old Russell industrial complex.

party at tiger stadium tomorrow night GO HARD

i'm not into trance but oakenfold's goa mix ('94) is pretty well regarded. justice's essential mix is badass, daft punk did a great one as well. jack beats just did one that i have heard is the hotness but i haven't had time to listen to it yet.
