It's got to be an album with the way their teasing it. If it was a single, wouldn't they just release it out of nowhere to surprise everyone? But then again it is Justice... drat it, I'll just hope what ever they release is top quality.

Yup, it's probably just like all those Tron Legacy soundtrack "leaks" were they just got some random songs and said it was Daft Punk. I mean I'm not going to say that their new album will sound the same as their first one, but really listen to that "Shout it out" then this.

I don't think he's looking for trance since the 2 example videos were from Portal 2, which has an electro based soundtrack.

So I would definitely agree with Justice and Danger. Only thing else I would add would be Vitalic too.

He's referring to what Xavier de Rosnay once said:

We stuck to our original idea to make a 2007 opera-disco album, even if we are conscious that some tracks don't sound like proper disco at first listen. The best example is the song “Waters of Nazareth,” which does not sound like disco when you listen to it for the first time. But if you forget that everything is distorted, the bass lines are just really basic disco patterns.[
But what he said about Justice getting him interested into house... well yeah Justice isn't house so I don't know what he's talking about there. Maybe he meant electro-house got him into house.

And this maybe the time to ask, but I really think the OP should be updated to have a list of the most popular artists for suggestions. Because I found out about Boys Noize, Danger and other good artists randomly, when everyone else already knows about them already. Like a master list of sorts.

It's soulless, and feels like many of the decisions within the track have been made because they're expected to be there, rather than they're there because it's right.
I dont feel theres any life to it. It's just a bunch of noises arranged in a way that fits in with a genre with enough variation to not be boring. It's born straight out of the era of music where it's now almost too cheap and easy to make professional sounding electronic music and it shows. Thats just how it makes me feel though, I find a lot of dubstep like that - maybe because it's still relativly new as far as a real genre is concerned, it's the cool thing to make (every music production forum is saturated with poo poo dubstep now), and theres relatively few people with massive amounts of experience making it.

New talent does exist, especially in house music. It's the best it's been for a very long time, and theres so much amazing stuff coming out all over the place at the moment.
This is how I feel about the Skrillex dubstep that everyone does(I know there's more dubstep than this, I'm just talking about the one that's done to death). It's predictable and uninspiring, and like you said it seems like those dubstep songs sound like they are only trying to sound like dubstep. This is what they do: Fast pace wobble song or slow song is played into a fast pace wobble drop. It's like those electro house songs (example) that are all about the drop, except while the formulas the same they at least can sound different. And it doesn't even make sense to me, why do they build up to the wobble, wouldn't it make more sense to build up by using the wobble?

Although an artist who has used the wobble interestingly is Siriusmo. Speaking of him, has anyone listened to the Pearls and Embarrassments albums? I want to hear some opinions on it.

No most of their stuff does sound like house, but every once in a while a random track like this one will come on and just raise some questions.

Honestly I'm trying to do some more personal listening so I don't have to be berated on forums but sometimes I wanna hear a reply from a more experienced listener/connoisseur/whatever. If you find the questions so hilarious you really don't have to answer.
If you start diving more into house music you'll figure out why people find your comments about not knowing if Daft Punk is house music funny. (An example of house music)

The reasons you may find some of those Daft Punk songs "experimental" is because house music is very diverse in how it can sound (there's a lot of subgenres of house too). Just compare how each Daft Punk album sounds and you'll get what I mean. Now if you're wonder what a house song is it's hard to give a specific answer, but at its basics it's "Sample a song, and then funkify it".

Except House neither needs to sample another song, nor funkify it. Just to add more confusion into the mix there. Really I'd label stuff House by the time honoured tradition of tempo. House will generally be around 120-130bpm give or take. And in general it'll have a four-to-the-floor drum pattern. Except the odd occasion when it doesn't. Oh my.
Yeah it doesn't need sample or funk, and what you say there is true. But I think maybe the best way to help know how house music sounds (for x TOMMYBOY x atleast) is to listen to a bunch of house music and he'll probably figure it out. Though I guess that's true for most music anyways :v:.

For people who don't know, Le Knight Club is one half of Daft Punk. The beat from Around The World can be clearly heard, and this has led some people to believe that Holiday On Ice is an Around The World beta. It's hard to tell though, since both songs were released in 1997, meaning who knows which song was being worked on first.
