It's got to be an album with the way their teasing it. If it was a single, wouldn't they just release it out of nowhere to surprise everyone? But then again it is Justice... drat it, I'll just hope what ever they release is top quality.

Ras Het posted:What the hell did I just read? Are you actually insane? quote:We stuck to our original idea to make a 2007 opera-disco album, even if we are conscious that some tracks don't sound like proper disco at first listen. The best example is the song “Waters of Nazareth,” which does not sound like disco when you listen to it for the first time. But if you forget that everything is distorted, the bass lines are just really basic disco patterns.[ And this maybe the time to ask, but I really think the OP should be updated to have a list of the most popular artists for suggestions. Because I found out about Boys Noize, Danger and other good artists randomly, when everyone else already knows about them already. Like a master list of sorts. jvempire fucked around with this message at 01:41 on May 26, 2011 |

Looks like Sebastian's album, Total, is out. This pretty much sums up the album, but I think I found two reviews that give a different perspective on it.

x TOMMYBOY x posted:Thanks for the answer. The reasons you may find some of those Daft Punk songs "experimental" is because house music is very diverse in how it can sound (there's a lot of subgenres of house too). Just compare how each Daft Punk album sounds and you'll get what I mean. Now if you're wonder what a house song is it's hard to give a specific answer, but at its basics it's "Sample a song, and then funkify it".

28 Gun Bad Boy posted:Except House neither needs to sample another song, nor funkify it. Just to add more confusion into the mix there. Really I'd label stuff House by the time honoured tradition of tempo. House will generally be around 120-130bpm give or take. And in general it'll have a four-to-the-floor drum pattern. Except the odd occasion when it doesn't. Oh my.

My favorite Deadmau5 songs are the ones he made for minecraft, no jokes! If only he just made ambient songs, since that's where his best stuff is. Tommyboy you might like Siriusmo. He loves genre-mixing and sometimes he does like to mess around with dubstep. So I recommend checking out his album Mosaik. Although just as a warning some of the songs maybe a bit out there, but there are good songs on there.

Helix makes me more hopeful for the album, and I'm fine with not being a "banger". Changing things up is fine, and hopefully the album is filled with some fun tracks. But more importantly, Mr Oizo's new album better blow my mind. It's apparently going to be released very soon. HYPE.

Stade 2 is pretty much Mr Oizo noticing people like Positif and making an album based around that. That may sound mediocre, but hey in a funny way that's oizo's style.

The Fresh Prince posted:Also Thoogsby, that song sucks balls. It honestly sounds like a parody of dubstep. But now for something a little more festive. Holiday On Ice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXgzsNBKcww For people who don't know, Le Knight Club is one half of Daft Punk. The beat from Around The World can be clearly heard, and this has led some people to believe that Holiday On Ice is an Around The World beta. It's hard to tell though, since both songs were released in 1997, meaning who knows which song was being worked on first. Either way I think it's a great song, along with all the others on the Crydamoure label, and it goes really well with the winter mood. Also somewhat unrelated, but this song is just funny to me (it's christmasy too!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0n9btRB7tw
