So any advice on how to ramp up on all this stuff? The annoying thing is that a ton of artists just put out EP's, or billions of remixes, so I have no clue how to get good stuff. Do people really just use all youtube all the time? That seems like a pain as far as making playlists and whatnot. Either way I'm going through this thread and favoriting the youtubes that I like, but am not sure where to go from there. I'll read the blogs and grab cool new stuff, but am not sure what else I can do :/ The myspaces sometimes have mixes but rarely have tracks. Advice would be appreciated, love house and electro :)

http://www.mixcloud.com/r4ns0m/

Some good mixes but much more dnb/dubstep oriented. I've just been scrolling through the threads on here picking up mixes. I have added over 50 hours of mixes and free releases to my iTunes over the last week or so, pretty much all linked from NMD, specifically the dnb / dub / house threads.

U St music hall survived its first year so it looks like its here to stay and its past capacity every weekend. There are other events too, "Glow" is a show I guess, that switches venues now and then. Next weekend is Forward Fest, a EDM festival. Summertime has starscape in bmore.

Its pretty good.

Also congrats on GWU try to live in thurston cause its a madhouse.

It's pretty creative and the vocal samples are catchy, but it's not booty-bumpin' and does not have enough energy for many people to want to add it into their DJ sets (like you ask on Soundcloud) unless they are DJing some place that calls for calm, trippy music. I also don't see what it has to do with house. But after listening to some of your other stuff, it seems you have a knack for making creepy down-tempo music, good work. If you're interested in making dance music as well, keep practicing (I mean that in an encouraging way).

Yeah this is what I was trying to say in a less dickish way. Without a 4 on the floor beat its hard to make dance music.
