Maybe this thread is the best place to ask.

Where can I find a good replacement housing for an N95 8GB?

Already tried the one on dealextreme... a waste of 4 bux. It seems Nokia does not sell one. The plethora on eBay is difficult to choose from. Maybe an aftermarket housing is a waste of time?

I'd rather buy off ebay

Thats the same stuff listed on ebay. Hmm. How about this? As good as any?

edit: ended up just buying it. It seemed to be the best.

I had a blackberry that would exhibit similar random reboot behaviour when it was subjected to being moved from a hot and humid environment to cold air conditioned environment frequently. It stopped happening after the battery was replaced.

I would suggest opening the back of the E71 and see if there is any corrosion or damage, maybe bending, of the battery contacts.

Since it happens when on AC I'm stumped.

What other platform sports a camera anywhere as good? The new aye fone?

Doesn't the E72 have a significantly better camera then the E71?

Here's a flickr album that has more decent images taken with the E72

Goddamn, Is there any way to access your Ovi Files without having to install the stupid files connector app in every PC you use? That's probably the most stupid design decision I've seen nokia make after the NGage. I sent some pictures to my Ovi account from my phone, and decided to open them from my linux pc at work, and I can't access them without installing the app.

Besides that, I'm loving my new E72 (and i'm using flickr instead)

You could just browse for the images in mass storage mode. There should be an "images" directory on your SD card or phone memory. No need to use OVI suite really.

The samsung Galaxy S pro looks like a good phone to jump ship to. Their Omnia i8910 HD support was neglectful at best thus the fact that the Galaxy S is open to rooting, even already has cyanogen ROMs, is a good sign.

Anyone have experience with Nokia's repair service? I can only find horror stories on the various Nokia and Symbian sites out there.

According to Nokia's website the turnaround time is 5-7 days but everywhere I look it is weeks to months.

If only Nokia would condense their smart phone line a little... perhaps Nokia's resources are spread too thin. Or their management's capabilities are not adequate.

Well, in my situation wifi is freely available everywhere except in a moving car. That's where the unassisted GPS comes in. Why pay for costly data plans? I would get a garmin or something before doing that.

If your device has ovi maps you need to install ovi suite. The current non-beta version of ovi maps (on the N8 at least) allows downloading maps directly without using ovi suite though.

I talked to Newegg. They said that I should have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty, and that's how it was sold. They're going to be arguing with Nokia about my phone. At this point I honestly hope Nokia still says "no" and Newegg will offer me a refund. I am now happy playing with my Desire Z.

Yup, it needs to go back to Nokia for repair. A friend in the USA will need to help you with this one. Before you do that though call 1-866-596-6542 (Nokia USA) and have the rep verify your warranty and send a UPS label to your contact in the USA.

I don't know if you all have seen this yet, but there was a video made of what is supposedly a beta version of Symbian Belle, which, honestly, looks really nice. I know that I'd be using my N8 a hell of a lot more if this was on it.

Nokia should skip straight to belle for the next PR update.

When is anna supposed to become available anyway? This month right?
