Maybe this thread is the best place to ask. Where can I find a good replacement housing for an N95 8GB? Already tried the one on dealextreme... a waste of 4 bux. It seems Nokia does not sell one. The plethora on eBay is difficult to choose from. Maybe an aftermarket housing is a waste of time?

I had a blackberry that would exhibit similar random reboot behaviour when it was subjected to being moved from a hot and humid environment to cold air conditioned environment frequently. It stopped happening after the battery was replaced. I would suggest opening the back of the E71 and see if there is any corrosion or damage, maybe bending, of the battery contacts. Since it happens when on AC I'm stumped.

The cameras on symbian phones are awesome. Check out this photo taken with an E72. What other platform sports a camera anywhere as good? The new aye fone?

That's probably the most stupid design decision I've seen nokia make after the NGage. I sent some pictures to my Ovi account from my phone, and decided to open them from my linux pc at work, and I can't access them without installing the app. You could just browse for the images in mass storage mode. There should be an "images" directory on your SD card or phone memory. No need to use OVI suite really.

The samsung Galaxy S pro looks like a good phone to jump ship to. Their Omnia i8910 HD support was neglectful at best thus the fact that the Galaxy S is open to rooting, even already has cyanogen ROMs, is a good sign.

Anyone have experience with Nokia's repair service? I can only find horror stories on the various Nokia and Symbian sites out there. According to Nokia's website the turnaround time is 5-7 days but everywhere I look it is weeks to months.

If only Nokia would condense their smart phone line a little... perhaps Nokia's resources are spread too thin. Or their management's capabilities are not adequate.

I have an N97 that gains scratches when wiped clean with dilute rubbing alcohol and microfiber. Very unfortunate since the touch screen needs cleaning regularly. Sounds like Nokia used the same material on the 6700!

Are you experiencing issues with wifi? I have a WRT54G with Tomato. Occasionally the wifi craps out on my N8. The workaround is to manually disconnect and reconnect the wifi.

I noticed that wifi is much more stable and holds a connection. Before the update the connection would hang frequently.

Before you do that though call 1-866-596-6542 (Nokia USA) and have the rep verify your warranty and send a UPS label to your contact in the USA.

It's a shame that this wasn't the version of S^3 that originally shipped; it probably could have seriously competed with iOS and the rest. I know that I'd be using my N8 a hell of a lot more if this was on it. Nokia should skip straight to belle for the next PR update. When is anna supposed to become available anyway? This month right? edit: Just read on another forum that supposedly there is a 50% chance that belle is released instead of anna this month. Folder play won't install unfortunately, it throws a "expired certificate" error. I'll just merge all the music I want played back gapless into huge mp3 files.
