I have no idea why 2 separate organizations gave announcing jobs to 2 brothers who have no place behind the announcing table.

How the gently caress does a company forget a major star's contract ending? Aren't there like whole departments to oversee this? Also, does Rock not know when his contracts up or does he stay silent because he doesn't want to be involved in wrestling?

So why did Hogan/Austin never happen because of refusal to job but Hogan jobbed clean to Rock at WM and jobbed again at NWO 03? "Hey your gonna job to Austin at WM" "Sorry brother no can do" "OK then your gonna job to Rock at WM" "Good to go jack"

MassRayPer posted:He also gave Foley a nasty concussion with a powerbomb on the floor, but that spot was Foley's idea. I also feel like Foley may have wanted to sit out for awhile on WCW's dime, but I may be confusing him with someone else. (Not that he was faking the concussion, just that he wanted to do a dangerous spot to be on the sidelines for awhile.) In his book, Foley says he hated the working environment so much that he proposed a spot where Vader had Mick on his back and just jumps straight up and lands on Mick, hopefully injuring Foley so he didn't have to wrestle anymore.

Shiki Dan posted:sending emails to Warrior I wrote him an email a few years ago saying I was a big fan as a kid and asking his opinions on current wrestling stuff and about the rumors from years past about him. It was like a 2 paragraph email. He responded with this 4 page letter where he rambled off-topic and switched subjects and gave rapid fire opinions on all aspects of life. It was crazy. He also thanked me for being a fan. I wish I still had that email.

Its a good book but Foley devotes the entire end section into a defense of the WWF, which was under a lot of political/media fire at that time being the Attitude era and all. It was a good read when I was 21 and a huge WWF fan but I reread it a few years ago and it doesn't really stand up as either entertainment or an actual defense of the WWF.

Strenuous Manflurry posted:It honestly could be the best wrestling book I've read, despite its flaws. Maybe even BECAUSE of its flaws. It's such an amazing look into Bret's mind. Yep, its seriously an awesome book. Brets had such an interesting life and been in the business so long hes experienced it all. Also, its a very detailed book and Bret gives definitive opinions and answers on stuff. Also, I love urine and I've read lots of books where I say "you know, this book would be much better with lots of piss in it" and thats certainly not a complaint in this one.

If I had to describe DDP in the 90's, the word would be "scummy" based off of looks. The word for Bischoff would be "slimy."

Everytime you say someones name, make sure you say the whole name and put the word "scum" in there. Make sure you really emphasize the word "scum" and smirk for a few seconds before you continue talking. Make sure you say ALOT of names.

Hey, did you want to go get some coffee or something after we are done tonight? Trish: Oh, well I'm actually in a serious relationship. I'm sorry. Russo: Hey, that's cool. Look, the segment changed after i talked to Vince. Trish: But we never stopped talki- Russo: Now Vince makes you strip down to your bra and panties and get on your knees like a dog while you cry. How many Nitros actually ended with some huge nWo run-in to cause a DQ and beat down the face? I know it happened but has it been blown out of proportion due to time and bashing WCW? Just a rough figure, was it only actually like 10 times or was it literally almost every week like people say it was?

Deadpool posted:I think I may go through the Nitros from the time the nWo started and see exactly how many times it ended like that. What criteria are we looking for here? Just an nWo beatdown ending? Or a cliffhanger ending? Or perhaps a clusterfuck brawl ending? I guess we could do all three. I wanted to know how many ended in an nWo beatdown ending. Whether its a no-contest or DQ win for the face doesn't matter. As long as the face didn't pin/submit the nWo guy for a victory.
