Yeah, that's an issue that matters, and he picked a great time to bring it up, too, seeing as Alice in Wonderland has never really had a widely-distributed, faithful film adaptation, and from the looks of things, Burton isn't breaking that trend one bit. I wonder which one he thinks is being "remade," anyway (I'm guessing the animated Disney one, since that's the only one anyone's familiar with)? Can you even "remake" a movie which is an adaptation of a book which has already been adapted for the screen many times?? Planet of the Apes and Wonka I could give you, because both those books have been made into movies only once before. But really, Alice in Wonderland? That's like criticizing someone for "remaking" Macbeth.

Also, neither of these images is even remotely funny. Why'd he pick those two movies in particular to make the punchline of the joke, anyway? It's like he reached into a hat and just drew out two completely random titles of movies from the last 20 years. It would have been better to do it with two movies that have already been remade recently. One of them (or both of them) could be Freaky Friday.

To his credit, both caricatures are decent, but everything else about the drawing is amateurish, especially the composition. That first "fake movie poster" design isn't even average-GBS-Photoshop calibre. It's like, "Yeah, here's the two characters and a half-hearted attempt at a "spooky" typeface, 'cause Tim Burton really likes those... whatever..." Why is "Judgment Day" in parentheses? What's with the swiss army gun??
