Also, imperial star destroyers? Is that really the most appropriate spaceship to use for your metaphor, here? If you must make a reference to some of the most recognizable spaceship designs in popular culture, wouldn't it be better to use the Millennium Falcon, since Han Solo was a pirate?

Have the Millennium Falcon being chased by a bi-plane. Make it look like the Falcon's about to leave the atmosphere, and the bi-plane pilot is holding his breath. That might be decent.
