I'm a big fan of documentaries on nuclear technology. "Countdown To Zero" is scary as hell. NOVA has a couple of good ones, one recent one called "The Nuclear Option" about the cleanup at Fukushima and a bunch of young people run nuclear tech start-ups. Another from the 80's called "Nuclear Strategy For Beginners" is also very good. American experience recently did one about the Manhattan project, but even at 2 hours, it just blazes through stuff way to fast to be interesting. But the best of any of them is "Trinity And Beyond". Narrated by Shatner and with a score by the Moscow Symphony, nothing is better.
