The only way to get the LSD, leather seats, sunroof, and 6 speed, is the 3.8 Track version, which is not the engine I want. I really hope they fix this for 2012.

This sucks on a bunch of cars and it's just baffling sometimes. I think it was the IS250 and IS350 where the 350 only comes in RWD and automatic, while the 250 you can get AWD and with a stick. Considering how they build them these days I don't see why you can't just pick every individual option.

If they really wanted to remove the brake caliper's weight's effect on steering they should have mounted it parallel with the steering axis. E: As in like on the top or bottom.

Yeah I also think this looks like poo poo. The kidney grills looks like such an afterthought and that flat stubby bumper for some reason makes me think of an inflated old Z3. Maybe BMW just needs to do the throwback thing and take a ton of styling cues from like old 5, 6, and 8 series cars because even though they might be great cars, they keep going all sorts of wrong directions on the exterior styling.

If enthusiasts matter at all in that situation, I bet more people drag Mustangs than track them, though that might be a "chicken or the egg" situation.

My whole point about those dyno graphs was that they're really really basic (and pretty much incorrect) fits of the real data which I guess would look impressive to someone who doesn't know what a dyno is. Here's an actual SHO dyno sheet.

Real (blue is stock with CAI, red is tuned)

I'm sure that BMW one is doing the same thing.

E: VVV Probably so they can use cheaper parts that are common with their other vehicles instead of having to make some stronger parts that would only be used on a fraction of their cars.

It's still front wheel drive and is one of the most boring looking automobiles I've ever seen, and continues to bastardize one of GM's best names. I don't know who's buying them besides fleets and senior citizens. I had a fresh 2008 as a rental car once and the only way I could describe driving it would be "Bluhhhh".

BMW should just give up this crap already. This and that other GT just end up looking like small SUVs. They've already demonstrated in the past that they know how to make beautiful and functional wagons tourings out of their normal cars, so why are they loving it up now? When people say "wagons are gay and ugly and I would not buy one", chances are good they're thinking about poo poo like wooden-stickered Roadmasters, not e34 or e36 tourings.

Yes if a Mondeo had more HP and weighed 400lbs less than a BMW 335i and better fuel economy and was much larger and could seat 6 people with 3 in the front row and costs half the price. But I guess it doesn't have enough spoilers and hood scoops and HIDZZ to impress anyone here. :rolleye:

And somehow it will be far slower, and the fuel economy will come from you not wanting to drive the thing at all, let alone hard. There's been a loving $1000 rebate for AARP members for a few years now.
