Was directed over here, but a couple goons went down to the Military Aviation Museum (http://militaryaviationmuseum.org) in south VA, and I grabbed a bunch of nifty photos: https://imgur.com/a/WsSLtCZ EDIT: Crapton of WW1 planes, WW2, and experimental german stuff. Speaking of the SR71, just got my own piece of Insanity: Had my eye on this for years even before I met my (now) fiancee, so as soon as she said yes I put in my order.

Ok, dunno how many saw this the last time, but Big Headline said y'all might be interested in this, but MAH WAIFE's grandfather was a Pathfinder Navigator (381st Bomb Group, 535th Squadron, Ridgewell and 91st Bomb Group, 324th Squadron PFF, Bassingbourn). He wrote a big ol' history and got a bunch of buddies to contribute, and even made a CD of the memoirs that I've uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1R...ShPYHdEn3u3kRd-

So, BH already found all the info about it that I was asking for, but thought y'all might like to see. On vacation, my FIL told me a story about a ME109 pilot he knew as a kid (forget the name, will edit once he gets back to me) who after the war worked down in Venezuela for the oil companies, and bought a surplus Will see if he can send the pic of people putting fish in the ammo cans. BH was able to find info immediatly since I'm blind and couldn't see one of the dashes in the tail number. "BIG HEADLINE" posted:http://warbirdregistry.org/f4fregistry/f4f-86680.htm

Pilot's name was Walter Idel, apparently. FiL has some pics of the fish loading process:
