oh hai guys i'm new to this whole thread or whatever but i'm looking to do some really technical advanced theoretical particle/astrophysics on the plane data and try and see some parallels; where's the best place to get a timeline of the raw data we know about MH370 at this point, along with a timestamped/location stamped communication history, and each bit of data associated with said communication?

i'm incredibly curious about the fact that the plane's possible path is in two locations; and I think there might be some crazy advanced physics and general relativity under it all (hence the super weirdness and complete lack of comprehension we have atm), along with wierd anomalous data (i've read stuff about it dropping 40k FT in 1 minute, which is weird.)

but yeah the more data you post the more I can crunch

- a curious physicist

There is no firm data, everything is hearsay filtered through the Malaysian government bullshit filter. What crazy physics do you think are involved? :allears:

So, this popped up.

quote:

Investigators poring over MH370’s flight data had said the plane had flown low and used “terrain masking” as it flew over the Bay of Bengal and headed north towards land, the NST reported.

quote:

Experts said flying a Boeing 777 in such a way would be dangerous, stressing the airframe and possibly causing those on board to be air sick and suffer from spatial disorientation.

What on earth is going on? This is getting crazier by the hour.

I never worried about it before I kept up in here. :(

The company was formed in 1985 as Atlantic Air Transport and was renamed RVL Aviation in April 2007 when parts of the former Air Atlantique Group became independent businesses.

The company began re-locating its core business from Coventry Airport to East Midlands Airport in autumn 2010, and with the completion of the purpose-built hangar facility in October 2011, it closed its outlying base (Blackpool) at the end of 2011.

As well as ad hoc passenger and cargo charters, the company specialises in aerial survey and surveillance and in particular operations from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). Work for the MCA includes surveillance and search and rescue support and providing aircraft on standby for spraying oil spills with dispersant. Originally using a fleet of piston-engined Douglas DC-3 aircraft, the company intends to use the Boeing 737 in the emergency spray role.[3]

I'm always curious about airplanes in museums. Like, just how ready to go would they be if someone said "gently caress it, let's make it fly again" Are these all basically real planes converted to static displays that will never fly again unless you basically build it from scratch over again, or is it "change the fluids, charge the batteries, gas it up and let's go"

It's probably somewhere in between.

It varies wildly. Generally the newer something is the less likely it is to ever fly again.
