Good. DkHelmet, contact Roundboy to figure this out.

Any word on what the classes and limitations will be for this, or is it all willy-nilly anything goes like Tigger?

Because if it conforms to the standard 3-gun rules I gotta put the EOTech back on my rifle.

Can't. Tactical class says one optic, and a Trijicon Accupoint isn't on the list. Plus, for the ranges at Topton an EOTech might be a better idea. I can hit 200 with it, and I don't think they're going to have many targets at that range.

Team USA doesn't have three confirmed people hitting Topton yet, so if you're still looking for a team you might want to put your name in as a backup for USA.

No big deal, I was just confused because the index marks on the sight/slide matched up, and I had shot it out to 25 yards without having issues with shots being off horizontally.

It's a good place to start.

Next in line is the ammo, the trigger, some "new" part in the gun that's making it shoot "funny".

Then we can move onto body ailments (works best for old farts like me). I'm sore from a previous workout, an old injury is acting up, too much coffee, not enough coffee, hungover, slept poorly and am sleepy...

The list goes on and on.

I'm in. I'll PM you my email so we can coordinate without a billion posts about who needs their back zippered up and which color pumps we're bringing.

I too, have pistols and rifles to lend. All but one of my shotguns are 30" bastards for trap and sporting clays, so they'll be relatively unlendable. I also have a cornucopia of gear, so nobody should be buying poo poo just yet.

Team "Name as yet to be finalized" payment sent today.

DkHelmet I am still up for topton at some point. Sunday would work for me, but saturday can be done if needed.

We should also talk about ammo / mag group buys. I have a source to borrow AR mags, but they are Steel (Aluminum ?) 20 rounders i think. I can also probably swing to buy some of the 5.56 brass case my dad has horded (lake city? i need to check) for a cheap price since he got it years ago. At least as cheap as wolf would be, but that is not finalized yet.

Otherwise I would be in the market for a couple more pmags, glock mags, and OWB holsters.

Oh cool, didn't know that.

In all seriousness I just got my membership a week or two ago after applying back in January, so it takes a little bit.

As long as I can cover a few goons for range trips, I'll consider it time well spent waiting.

I had only one type of equipment failure at Tiger Valley, and that was a failure to seat the pmags I was using. Happened twice, was quick to fix, but when time is of the essence any failure is bad.

I've been thinking about getting some metal GI magazines, because you can feel the mag seating better with them than the plastic pmags.

Pmags are cool, just be on the lookout for failures to seat.

PA TEAM

Sent the check and a nice thank-you note yesterday. Those who haven't paid better get their rear end in gear.

Should we do a practice sometime soon? Perhaps at Topton? Perhaps with the other PA team? Any weekend is cool with me right now, but come May 15 I'll be moving to Fairfax, VA.

Roundboy

Interesting. I have access to a few metal GI mags, i'll have to run a couple in parallel.

it would be nice to do a big group thing at topton too, seems better then just random dickery with guns. But i absolutely need to properly sight in things.

Holy tapdancing christ!

I'll be the first to admit I went a little overboard with my spending in preparation for Tigger, but I didn't spend half as much as this guy did. Why the hell do you need a Rem 700 on top of all that, for instance? Why a TACTICAL P226 instead of a serviceable police trade-in? Do you really need that good of a shotgun BEFORE YOU'VE EVER SHOT A MATCH?
