Yeah, basically once the rest of the world finds out about the existence of mutants, the series gets a lot better (Day of Reckoning). Though a few of the season 3 episodes are some of the worst, actually. The one where Spike drinks some new energy drink and it makes him mutate so his can't retract his spikes/bones, and joins the Morlocks...though since he was by FAR the worst main character, they needed a way to get rid of him. And the one where Toad steals Nightcrawler's holo-emitter is pretty stupid, too. But "Blind Alley" is really good.
