The humor of Seinfeld was lost on the German audience, partially due to the difficulty of translating Seinfeld’s American culture and phrases for a German audience. Hogan’s Heroes, by contrast, translated easily, despite the fact that the show’s humor was largely based on poking fun at Germany and its culture.”
