I don't own either, but in my opinion The Queen Anne gets the edge because the back of it is pretty awesome.

Thanks, ended up getting the queen anne. Though the shop didn't even have the pearl in the end

My first impression was that it looked absolutely terrible and I think that might be to do with the colouring more than anything (hopefully that's not finalised). But a second glance at the static box art here (http://www.lordofthebrick.com/2011/12/lego-lotr-premiers-visuels-preliminaires-de-la-gamme-2012/) and I'm a little more optimistic.

At first I thought it was just a flat two dimensional wall and that's something I'm not a big fan of. But given the layout on the box and the fact that the tower looks like it's set quite far back it looks like it could have a fair amount of depth.

So yeah first glance: Ugly and basic. But looking again the main castle bit of it could actually end up being fairly impressive. Either way I doubt it'll be in my price range!

It just looks flat with stickers for texture.

Prison Tower Rescue from the latest kingdoms line uses it for the gate.

My nephews got this set for xmas and that line works really well compared to some of the older stuff. I guess it's due to the gate being a single piece rather than something made from bricks getting stuck in places.

You are missing 723 of 1248 pieces (have 42.1%) required to build this set.

Well gently caress. It is missing a ton of pieces from sets I have but are not in their database yet and everything that's not visible can be replaced with another color, but still :(

Tried to find an unimog today with no results :( Guess I have to go online for that. Shame that shop.lego is the most expensive option.

Did see 8070 supercar for 70€ which was half price. Didn't want that though.

Any video game fans should check out Lego Batman 2. It's tons of fun, has on open world along with traditional levels, and it uses the score from Tim Burtons Batman films. Kids and AFOLs should love it!

I have the first batman and it was strange, could never really figure out anything in it. Played through the other lego games to 100% though. How does batman 2 compare to the other games? Last Lego game I played was the pirates one and it is atrocious with the insane loading times.

:stare: Sounds like you've got some homework this weekend.

In other news, I did a bad, bad thing. I was in WalMart for various reasons, and stuck on the shelf were five Black Pearls. Almost all of the boxes were damaged in some way, some significantly. I double checked the contents, and even on the open boxes, all the pieces were there -- figs, ship, instructions, poster, sails, all of it.

Talked to the manager, got a buy four get one free deal, essentially (20% off). I ended up buying them. I'm still not sure I did the right thing.

By the way, LEGO group makes the figs really hard to steal. There's one in each bag, and sometimes parts for each fig are spread across multiple bags in that bag.

I thought the bad thing was going to be that you didn't pick those up.

Agh I knew I should have registered for VIP on some earlier purchase. Though now that I think about it I've only ever ordered one thing straight from their shop, rest were elsewhere due to them being something like 20% cheaper.

While Star Citizen is a terrible thing, you can't deny that if Lego made that ship then it would sell.

You'd just have to price it accordingly. 10$ per piece but make the sets numbered so they feel rare.
