I really want this thing because it's loving AWESOME:

http://shop.lego.com/ByAge/Product.aspx?p=10155&cn=100007&d=100001

However, $119 makes me sad. Does the "Exclusive" tag on that mean it's only available online from the Lego shop, or could I get lucky and find it on sale at a Toys R Us or something?

I don't have a goon-worthy amount of LEGO sets, but that space shuttle is definitely my favorite. I have it on a shelf in my office at work, and it is pretty impressive looking. Also it outs me as a huge nerd.

gently caress pre-molded parts like in the newest shuttle!

I can understand and appreciate that, it just feels like cheating. And it doesn't end up looking like a real-life 8-bit representation of a Space Shuttle with goddamn detachable booster rockets and fuel tank! AND ALSO A SATELLITE.

Ok I am going to go play with it right now.

So I bought a crapload of vintage LEGO sets at an auction, complete in boxes with their instructions and minifigs. I'm trying to put a value on the ones I'm going to resell, but it's crazy how all over the place prices are between eBay, BrickPicker and BrickLink. Most of the complete sets on BrickLink are in Europe and super pricey, and eBay doesn't have many complete sales on most of these.

Here's a pic of them all:

Set numbers:

6386, 6380, 6394, 6385, 6376, 1490
6480, 6643, 6440, 1489, 6693, 6450, 6481
6615, 6345, 6350, 6590, 4022, 6335

Thoughts? Prayers? :P

It's a huge nostalgia rush seeing the boxes from that era. The light blue LEGOLAND against the yellow makes my inner child scream "BUY IT FOR MEEEEEEEEEE PLEEEASSEEEE!!!"

It was a proper auction, though I was bidding online.

Hah yeah that set is the brand new one! Only been available at one US store opening so far, I believe.

The sealed stuff is probably easier to move than the vintage boxed sets, those seem pretty hard to price. What's with insanely high BrickLink prices vs completed eBay auctions on a lot of these sets?

I did the midnight thing too, on a whim. Holy poo poo people went insane for those figures... are they just flipping them?

Anyway they had like 3 of each 6" figure, but TONS of the lego sets.

Of course in the true spirit of the evening, I left the store with a set... their last Wall-E :P

I did really well at TRU today. Snagged the last Benny's Spaceship for the advertised $53, and also got a damaged box (missing UPC) Technics Service Truck for $70 after a discount for the box. And they even dug up two Batmobile polybags for me since they were out of the Ninjitsu things! Thanks Geoffrey!

Anyone have a full set of 32 Simpsons minifigs they're willing to sell, or know how I can get my hands on them? I have the house and kwik e mart, figured I should complete the Simpsons collection.

Edit: I guess $160 on eBay ain't bad, especially all from one seller

Yeah Amazon gives no fucks, companies like Birkenstock have pulled out of selling on Amazon completely because of third party knockoffs. Now they can just blanket ban anything purported to be "Birkenstock" for sale on Amazon

I'm not sure what the likes of Lepin will do to the Lego resale market, but I do think it will at least spur many more official Lego remakes of sets that people obviously want. People currently shell out either $500 to Not Lego or $100 to Also Not Lego, and I don't think they like that very much.
