In the Let's Talk About Loveline thread, I noticed a few posts from people asking why we don't have a comedy podcast thread. Well here it is!  I figured this first post can be used to list all the great comedy podcasts out there. This is just *my* list of favorites, but if you have more, feel free to talk about 'em and I'll update the OP. Eventually I'd like to separate these into further sub-categories (interview-style, live performances, etc), but for now, I'll just lump 'em all together. edit: When you suggest a podcast, try and point out a specific episode that you love to give people an idea where to start! I'll eventually give my own list for the ones I listed. Most (if not all) of these can be found in iTunes, but I've also provided RSS feeds and/or other links to download the shows directly. With Teeth It's a podcast about popular/new music done by me and a buddy of mine. Language is extremely harsh and we update it every 1-2 weeks. I have been told its "Kinda funny". Thank you for this Thread. You've all listed a lot of REALLY good podcasts. There is a podcast called RISK! Hosted by Kevin Allison formerly of The State. http://risk-show.com/ It is along the lines of The Moth podcast but I've noticed that, for the most part, the story tellers are mostly comedians and mostly hilarious. On a side note, I subscribe to the premium Never Not Funny feed and I can't get enough of it. It's well worth the price and the video just adds to the fun. They also have individual episodes up if you don't want to pay $20 for 26 episodes and some bonus ones in between. I think Marc Maron has a premium feed too, which I'm tempted to subscribe to as well. Don't be hesitant to pay for a good podcast or two, especially from very funny comedians like Jimmy Pardo and Marc Maron. Edit: There's also Walking with Michelle. I listen to most of the podcast in the OP but I also really like Low Budget FM: http://lowbudgetfm.com The producer of Fitzdog Radio and Carollas podcast + a guy who does radio on KLSX basically just talk poo poo. They occasionally do scripted bits that aren't funny but for the most part I find them hilarious.

There are no rules for how long they can talk about each topic, but they must cover ALL of them within the 30 minute period. Edit: ^^^^ beaten by 5 minutes, dammit. Seriously, listen to this one podcast if you listen to any of them. The Mike Omeara Show deserves more than just a casual mention. It's incredibly funny. All of them were widely syndicated (the Don and Mike show, Big O & Dukes) on terrestrial radio and it's a daily hour of professionally created content. You can find it on itunes or use the RSS feeds from the website, plug it right into the 'listen' android app - either way works perfectly. For straight up comedy, try the Ask Mr. Biggs show. https://www.askmrbiggs.com Basically, Roger, the meek host, and Mr Biggs, the overbearing, jumpsuit-wearing know-it-all answer questions from callers. The best part is, the calls are actual, real calls to other shows that are edited to fit the show, with the original host removed. For a good comedy-plus-stories, I can't suggest The Tobolowsky Files enough. Stories of life, love, and the entertainment industry, as told by character actor, Stephen Tobolowsky. Based off of the 2005 independent film "Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party", this podcast is filled with both serious and hilarious stories, all involving Stephen throughout his life and career. I really dig Superego. It is a really funny improvised sketch comedy show that sometimes has people from the LA comedy scene as guests. It takes an episode or two to get into the rhythm, but they are short so it's not a huge commitment. http://www.gosuperego.com/podcast-episodes/

Updated very, very infrequently, but hands down one of the most consistently funny podcasts I've ever listened to. All of the episodes are great, but the three part special episode featuring John Hodgman is as good as place as any to start. I can't hype this enough, incredibly under appreciated, incredibly funny. Fast Karate for the Gentleman http://www.daveandjoel.com/ Self described as "a semi-weekly podcast about stupid cartoons and vidjergames", it's basically two very nerdy, very funny friends shooting the poo poo about video games, food, episodes of 24, or incredibly bad anime shows. I first saw it suggested in a previous podcast thread on GBS, and was put off at first by how geeky it sounded, and was pleasantly surprised when I gave it a chance. Every episode feels like two funny nerd friends of yours showed up late at night with a six pack and some terrible cartoon on VHS. I listen to these guys whenever I clean, or just want to sit back and smoke the bong. They give some reviews of what they maybe playing at an given time, and talk a lot about the video game industry. Although, funny enough, the radio station that broadcasts WJFK's stuff here got sold off after they switched to the sports radio format. It actually changed hands a couple times before turning into an alternative music station. Guess the sports talk format just wasn't that popular.

Redskins radio on Sundays and the Junkies were all the sports JFK needed. They had the golden lineup there for a few years. Good to hear Mike O'Meara is doing well. Now that Don is back in radio, I can't help but get my hopes up that they will get together again someday.  To get back on topic: The Joe Rogan Podcast is pretty enjoyable. The audio quality is kind of obnoxious, but he's getting better at it. Frank and Erik Internet Famous has become one of my favorite podcasts. It's just two twenty-something guys talking about life. Jon Hamm and Jimmy Pardo. Just great chemistry between the three of them. Hamm (of Mad Men fame) really knows comedy. Adam Carolla and Patton Oswalt. Again, the chemistry is awesome, and this is about the best environment I've seen Carolla in outside of Loveline. Andy Kindler and Marc Maron. If you don't like Kindler,  Paul F. Tompkins and Sean Cullen. Both amazing comedians, both get along great and both sing together at some point. Special.
