Giving preferential treatment to music agreeable to the majority of listeners would lead to the definition of a mainstream. A mainstream based on the music taste of Goons, of course, but a mainstream nonetheless. Personally, I don't listen to GBS-FM for enjoyment, but to discover music and genres I didn't even know I could like.
