I've got a question: How would you go about putting pirated movies on an iPad. I've spent the last 25 minutes searching google for this and I can't figure this itunes poo poo out.

Xandu posted:Handbrake Just checked it out and this just seems like a dvd ripper and a file converter. I already use ffmpeg for my file conversion. I was mostly wondering if there is some option in itunes to import some video without having to explicitly purchase it through a store. I've got the videos on my computer and I need to figure out how to put them on someone else's ipad. For some reason ipads suck balls and you're forced to go through itunes.

Powered Descent posted:Is there really STILL no way for iThings to just copy a file over the USB cable or local wi-fi? It's been some time since I've dealt with iOS but I would have assumed that would have been fixed a long time ago. Nope. It's absolutely retarded that you need to go through itunes to do anything. I hate my friend for using this ipad and then making me get movies on it for him.

In this case, I've already seen it, and I'm interested in the other goodies that come with the disc(s). This movie is 12 years old. Any copy you get is going to be second hand and the money will not go towards the creators. Further more you will be throwing away a lot of money on intl shipping.

How would our world appreciably change if the speed of light was faster, say 1^10 rather than 2.99^8 m/s. The most obvious thing I can think of is nuclear power would become significantly more potent as an energy source. E=mc^2. Not only have we raised the value of C, we've raised it and squared the increase. 3^8 / 1^10= 33.3^2 = 1111.11. We effectively get 1000 times more energy out of the same amount of fissile material. I was thinking about the eye in particular. But at one point or another you'd need multiple independent systems that cannot function without the the rest. The odds of mutating one of these sytems is pretty rare, but the odds of mutating one of these independently useless systems and being successful long enough to develop the rest seems pretty ridiculous. quote:Charles Darwin himself wrote in his Origin of Species, that the evolution of the eye by natural selection at first glance seemed "absurd in the highest possible degree" It obviously happened at some point, but comparing a brain and eye to something like ligaments evolving feels like they're orders of magnitude apart.

Why is there a separate and lower minimum wage for those who serve liquor in their job?
|
# ¿ Oct 10, 2015 20:39 |

Minimum Wage Alberta’s general minimum wage increased on October 1, 2015 as indicated below: an hourly minimum wage of $11.20 for most employees an hourly minimum wage of $10.70 for employees serving liquor as part of their regular job It's not a big difference but I just don't understand the mentality of making a distinction in the first place. Serving liquor could also encompass things like working in a liquor store.
