Is it okay for me to save photos I find on Panoramio for drive storage, as long as they are also listed as showing up on google earth? (For example a myriad of photos showing pictures of all the regions of a country?)

I am a scholar somehow addicted to geographic photography, in my personal quest to memorize the world.

Until recently I have been using panoramio as a source for geography for countries, states and states within countries. I gleefully saved and categorized by country any photos I could find per region onto my drive without a thought, much like I had from wikicommons (except with far more material to gaze from). A few days ago however I realized that apparently you needed specific permission from each artist on panoramio in order to archive them for personal usage, something I had forgotten to notice beforehand. I immediately bailed and removed months of photos from panoramio from my drive and began sending PMs seeking permission of usage from certain photographers. Now that's all and good except that Panoramio has been hanging on a thread for the last few years - thanks to an exodus of files onto Google Earth - and I doubt that many people at all, even the photographers, even bother checking their databases or emails for that anymore. Now whenever I check out Google Earth I feel tantalized by these pictures now that I can only gaze at them and not archive them like I used to. It's just not the same.

Are there any other good places besides Wikicommons/Panoramio that I could archive geographic photos from for personal reference? I wonder if it would be worth it just to draw what I see instead.

1. Why do you want that?
2. You upload your photos to a server and then they're saved there, though I'm not sure why you freaked out about panoramio which seemed to suit your needs fine.
I freaked out because I forgot to ask the photographer's permissions to copy/download their photos, according to panoramio's T&C. Even though I have now done so, I fear that they won't respond thanks to barren activity since 2014 - and I don't know where I can find a higher amount of photography for, persay, remote third-world countries.

EDIT: Would using watermarked Getty images work just fine?

Maine's techhire (where I am) just downgraded its IT training assistance from individualized, paid training to non-personalized, university bootcamp. Last week. The local head told me that he doesn't know what my TOSCA certificate (for advanced automation software) even is and said I'm not eligible for hiring if I don't have a computer science degree or prior work experience.

Should I trust the services of an IT bootcamp if it's grant funds are due to run out within a year?

The question I would ask is at the end of this bootcamp, are you going to have a comp/sci degree or relevant work experience? If not, at the end of this camp, is it in any way going to fast track you to a degree/experience? I'm willing to bet the answer to those questions is No.

Now, it sounds like you are looking for a job in IT and you spoke to the local head (recruiter?) and he said he can't hire you without either experience or a degree. That is a pretty common thing.

It might help to know what your end goals are. Are you trying to get in to IT as a career? Are you looking at one specific company? Do you have a specific position in mind? Other than this training, what's your background?
I'm trying to get a job in IT as a foot-in-the-door to the jobs market; I'd be hired by TD as an automation specialist by now if there wasn't a hiring freeze and job crunch in Maine at the moment. I've finished training in two levels of TOSCA automation software (cuts down software testing time extensively). I graduated from USM with a degree in Political Science and Economics. I also read and note-take on tons of political, historical and economic books in my free time. I could potentially op-ed parallels and lessons between, say, the Adams and Trump presidencies, for example. I ultimately want to become an economist/think-tank/political advisor in the years ahead. IT is a pragmatic back-up.

My beef here is that until last week I could get paid training locally for a specific job like IT security, and be ready for such a position by Christmas or so. Now the company's crunched and nixed that option, so now I'm left with year-long-bootcamp or nothing with them.

I'll hear back from techhire tomorrow. If the questions I ask come up negative, I'm out.

Probably this boot camp is going to be a waste overall. Having an IT career as a plan B is not a bad idea, but without either experience or at least a 2 year degree, you're only going to be getting entry level jobs: Call centers, basic repair stuff and the like. And some repair shops will really want some form of certification for repairs. The TOSCA cert sounds like it's a QA thing, and that's fine, but a cert alone won't bring much to the table in terms of job hunting.
Thanks. I'm deciding not to go with this particular boot camp. My IT mentor has a several-week course in (pick on of these dozen major cities) for IT past TOSCA training. I'll see if that (or IDEXX) works.

You're going to have to be more specific about where this forest is. "Moss" is like 16 000 different species haha.

Also, if it already doesn't have a bunch of moss, you're probably looking at an uphill battle. At the very least, you'll probably have to systematically destroy nearly everything else that's living on the forest floor to make way for the moss.
Southern Maine inland, similar climate to northern Honshu. Mom just had the entire forest floor stripped of bushes, seedlings and stumps with splinters everywhere.

Stupid Question:

If I've begun to acclimate to Biden's frontrunner status, and think that his response to the allegations was suprisingly sound, and believe that said allegations by Reade are now extremely dubious - does that make me a horrible person? Or at least, an anathema to DnD/C-Spam? Would I get torn apart if I show my face in there?

I don't know if I've sincerely turned into a middling bourgeois or if i've chameleoned into one to prevent further ethics-based mental anxiety from ruining my quarantine.

With all of the developments on Reade's side today, I would say that mainstream Democrats are satisfied but Sanders Twitter is not. The sympathetic interpretation of Reade's statements and actions in the last 24 hours is that she was expecting Biden to stumble on Friday, instead of making clear and direct statements on Friday morning and Friday night that put the spotlight back on her to corroborate.

That's the take I got from all of this.
