Eastenders 2010-11 budget is £29.8m, about 30% of their "continuing drama" budget.

That's three times as much as Doctor Who gets a year.

I guess it makes sense given the sheer loving quantity of Eastenders, but £143,000 an episode still seems a bit steep.
