I have to admit I was also pretty unimpressed with Dragon Quest Heroes. I didn't care about the monster summoning gimmick and the gameplay felt too slow for a musou game. Also they put in common enemies who block and cause blow back and that is super dumb for this type of game.

I think I would've liked XCX way more had it only been sidequests with no hollow main plotline

I mean the main quest is like 10% of the game, so it pretty much is that already. I hope that game gets a real sequel though, because it had good mechanics that need a bit more iteration and they can't just end on a "What the hell is going on here" cliffhanger like that. XCX really got its hooks in me and I want more.

Also they need to not listen to the people who complained about the music, because those people are wrong and dumb.

X-2 has a handful of good songs (real Emotion, 1000 Words, Memory of Lightwaves, final boss theme, Yuna's Ballad), none of which you will hear very often.

The songs you are subjected to for most of the game are terrible, including the worst normal battle theme all series.

The X-2 random battle theme rules, actually.

chumbler

Yeah mainly XCX was just a fun world to be in and moving around in it felt good. I think I sank around 90 hours into it doing side quests and still hadn't really touched the post game stuff or any of the super weapons. That game hit a whole lot of the right buttons for me, and I'd love a sequel that iterates on the good parts and fixes some of the issues I had with it. I also want to know what the hell is up with that planet.

I also hope they ignore complaints about the music because those people are wrong and dumb.

Edit: The fast travel also helped immensely with that game's staying power. More open world games need to learn that lesson.

i mean some nintendo censorship has been really bad and heavy handed, like the boob slider in xenoblade or stuff like the curtain in the awakening beach dlc. i know that was nintendo of europe, but still. i agree that a lot of people freaking out about it are really stupid but you can criticize some of the things they've done without being a literal pedophile.

I assume a lot of the questionable edits are due to the frequently weird and not codified anywhere standards of the ratings board, and Nintendo in particular can't go the "just say you want to be approved as M" route with most of their games.

Atelier Sophie works fine, I don't know they hosed it up for Azure unless they had two different port teams or something at the same time.

I think KT ports tend to be pretty scattershot for that kind of thing. I haven't tried this one yet but Toukiden works fine for me while it's a laggy, crashing mess for others.
