My god, the NYU lecture was the greatest night of my life. The actual speech was unbelievable and he stayed for almost 45 minutes afterwards signing autographs and taking pictures. I got him to sign my canvas painting of "Rain in England"! For anyone who missed it, one of my friends recorded the entire lecture and the audio quality's not too bad. I started off with just God's Father, I'm Gay, and Everything Based, but thanks to recommendations in this thread I now have hundreds of Lil B songs. It really sucks some of my friends are not based at all and hate on me for sincerely liking Lil B, but they're the ones with the hate so I guess it sucks more for them. While the bulk of it recalls those amorphous, washy ambient soundscapes from the Secrete Color Albums and Rain In England (which I enjoyed), there are at least a few tracks on their that mix up the formula and are more structured. They're good tracks in an a way that doesn't need qualification. Tokyo, Tribute To Lil B and Exhale With Love In Your Chest are the high points. The whole thing is like a James Ferraro project, but with none of the crushing cynicism and pessimism. So it's better.

I love Blue/Red equally. I think White is better than both. I think Black Flame is pretty terrible. I generally don't really like the bitch mob no-effort gimmick side of Lil B too much anymore. fake Lil B fans only listen to that poo poo. My favorite Lil B tapes are I'm Thraxx Angel's Exodus God's Father White Flame Basedgod Veli Trapped in Basedworld I'm Thraxx is the hardest best poo poo ever. the section of the album, from Victory 2010 to My Last Call is absolutely perfect.
