On first listen, it's no Red Flame but some of these tracks are very hot and emotional. My favorite so far is probably Can I Live 4 Real or Herd Her Cry. Don't like too many of the sillier tracks on this mixtape though. They aren't quite on Red or Blue Flame level.

To me, "The Wilderness" is Lil B's greatest song. My other I'm Gay favorites are "Game" and "I Seen That Light"

mango sentinel posted:He appears to mock Soulja Boy through imitating Soulja Boy's monotone, stilted flow and juvenile lyrics. The fact the lyrics are self aware and interspersed with bizarre references or humorous phrases doesn't make it any more appealing to me on anything other than an intellectual level. I still have difficulty listening to it because I don't enjoy it musically. I love the persona and some of the lines, but was wondering if there was some part of the appeal I just didn't "get." I first started out liking Lil B in that ironic way I think you are talking about...but then something just clicked and I am so sincerely serious about my fandom. He's helped me to realize that talent is irrelevant in the context of art and expression. You should know that his whole ouevre isn't ironic and farcical. He has dozens of very real and heartfelt tracks. That, and he is always putting out tons of music and after so long it almost feels like I know the guy. He can make me laugh, or if I want he can also have me vibing and feeling better about my own life when I hear his more reflective track, even when he goes off rhythm or flubs a line or says something that makes zero sense. It's straight from the heart.

What do you think the best Lil B mixtape is? For me, it's still I'm Thraxx. DOR is the hardest song ever, Go To Dumb is an amazing dada 80s throwback, Rawest Rapper Alive and I'm on my Grind make me so happy, Respect My Mind has the best beat close runners up are Angels Exodus and White Flame

Okay, this is seriously one of the most solid mixtapes ever. This and I'm Gay are going to be my go-to things to show my friends who think Lil B is just a joke rapper still though, I Own Swag is still one of the best tracks on there. He rides that beat so perfectly in so many different ways it's awesome.

I love Blue/Red equally. I think White is better than both. I think Black Flame is pretty terrible. I generally don't really like the bitch mob no-effort gimmick side of Lil B too much anymore. fake Lil B fans only listen to that poo poo. My favorite Lil B tapes are I'm Thraxx Angel's Exodus God's Father White Flame Basedgod Veli Trapped in Basedworld I'm Thraxx is the hardest best poo poo ever. the section of the album, from Victory 2010 to My Last Call is absolutely perfect.

I agree mostly. 2012 has been insane for Lil B in the best way. I hated #1 Bitch and half of Green Flame though. I'm kinda sick of the bitch mob stuff so I'm really happy with stuff like Lost in Basedworld and Rich After Taxes
