I finished writing a book that I've been working on for two and a half years. :)

Congratulations, big achievement there, I've been working on mine about a year and a half and i'm barely a third of the way through the second draft. Sometimes I wonder how long it's gonna be before i just say gently caress this poo poo and burn the fucker just to spite myself. Got 65,000 words so far and at least half of those words are pretty awesome.

Today? Well, it's not even 10am yet, but we've got a chump coming to view the house at 2, after three months of no interest on the market. Hopefully this means my mother will be in a good mood later. Got to work my day off, but it's only four hours and I like the people I work with so that's good, and I only have one more day to go before i'm off work for a week so I can go househunting for myself.

Finally got to see my small South African friend after nearly two months of no contact because of a heavy easter workload and the aftermath. He's pretty much exactly the same laid back prick that I love him for, so that's good.

This is off the back of my brother being involved in an RTA this weekend, but he wasn't injured at all just shaken so I suppose i should be thankful for that too.

Also got a promotion from work last week but i'm 90% sure it carries with it NO pay rise because the company I work for are unapologetic in there public greediness. Still, I'm now allowed to perform all the functions in the Pharmacy I was already doing but getting told off for, so it makes my life easier.

Two major things are happening to me right now:

I'm finally starting to do something about my hair loss, have started using Regaine foam, and am excited by the possibility of actually not looking like a Belgian Monk for the first time in seven years (alopecia at 16 is not great)

I've also just realised i'm about two weeks away from finishing my first grown up novel, which is an astonishing achievement for someone who has a terrible work ethic and short attention span.

Congratulations, it's not easy writing a book, I should know, I just finished my first book this week. Now I have the arduous task of getting it published.

My day was awesome because I finally got past the horrendous bus escort section in Infamous and can actually enjoy playing the game again.

Saw my dad and uncle today, which in itself is an uncommon occurence, but more importantly I didn't have to rush off to work after lunch, and I saw some pictures of my cousin's two kids, who are adorable.

All the department managers at work have new uniforms, the lady-uniforms are really doing it for me.

I feel no shame at objectifying women i know are kind, intelligent and professional

Hasn't started yet, but no work and a bro-tastic schedule of lunch and Kino with one bro then to the bar with some other boy-bros and girl-bros.

Plus pretty much all my loose ends have been tied off so i'm not anxious for the first time in forever

Despite finding out the girl (young lady rather, i'm in my 20s now) i like has a boyfriend and is pissing off to York soon, my contribution to Movember is coming along nicely, i've been offered a free leather sofa by a colleague, which'll look real swell in the house i've just started renting

So, about three weeks ago I lost my job, and through thankful benediction I managed to get up to date on rent and council tax til the end of the tax year before I stopped getting paid to work, but I've spent the last fortnight sleepless and freaking out because of an upcoming energy bill.

Guess what arrived today and was less than half of what I was expecting and I can actually afford to pay without borrowing money? :banjo:

Also some stupid yogurt pot plant I set up because I was bored and needed a project just started sprouting. I'm a father :3:

Celebrated Mother's day early by cooking for my mum and then we went out to a pub for live music which included a motherfucking crumhorn for some reason.

Also I wasn't too depressed about being unemployed today so that's good
