Browsing monitors (for gaming) while I put money away for one, I like the look of the newer Crossover (27 Fast 144), but there isn't much I can find review wise.

Dream-seller has pixel perfect X-STAR DP2710's for $189, so I grabbed one, at that price it's hard to resist.

Rexxed posted:I got a QNIX AH-VA panel as a secondary monitor and I'm kind of disappointed by the brightness dimming you get at different angles. It seems as sharp and colorful as an IPS if you're directly in front (maybe even more so) but when it's on an angle to the side there's a noticeable gradient of brightness. At least it doesn't mess with the colors like TN. Yeah I get it slightly on my X-Star, it's not huge though

I've never encountered any issues. The only annoyance is my monitors are two different sizes.

DrDork posted:Also note that the reference 1080Ti drops the DL-DVI port that you need to run the QNix. While I imagine some AIB's will put it back on, DVI ports in general are not long for this world. So even if you get a 1080Ti now, there's a real good chance you're going to end up having to replace your monitor when the next generation of cards come out and you want one of those. AMD ain't helping you, either, as they've been trying to kill off DVI even faster than NVidia. That's going to blow, my X-Star panel is great.

Wowporn posted:Wouldn't an adapter like this https://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=12802&gclid=CJTBkbvUzdICFZq4wAod3dcOCQ fix that issue just fine? I hope so because I plan on using my Shimian aka the screen from a 2012 imac until i inevitably break it Maybe, there are conflicting opinions on what adapters work over on OC forums. If I could maintain my 110hz that would be cool, otherwise I'd still be looking to buy a new primary monitor anyway if I couldn't.

Looking for a 27" IPS to replace the old TN panel I have for my secondary monitor. Doesn't have to go over 60hz. Also going to be used for playing console, so either multiple HDMI or at least 1 and a DP input.

My Korean panel (X-Star DP2710) decided to lose half it's brightness today, so I guess I'm looking for another monitor. Still want to stay 27" and 1440p and at least 100hz refresh with a DP input too. Want to keep it under $500

Picked up my LG monitor today, no dead pixels! Was a tad too bright out of the box but easily fixed. This control "nub" for the screen menu/power is very Nintendo 64 and just made me laugh.
