Is there any reason to lean towards ordering a monitor direct from Dell instead of Amazon? I'm looking at a U2713HM from Amazon, and its $620 instead of $699 from Dell, but some people in the comments mention Amazon getting older panel revisions.

My Dell U2713 showed up, I'm at work so the extent of testing I was able to do was plug it into my work laptop. It looks nice and I didn't see any obvious defects. It is an A00 panel, so hopefully that isn't an issue, if it ever was one.

I've got an itch to replace my Dell U2713 with something like a Acer Predator XB271HU (the IPS one), but aside from Gsync is there really any other improvement? I've heard good things about Gsync, but I've never had a chance to see it in person.

I hope this wasn't dumb: Acer Predator XB271HU 27" WQHD IPS has shipped. Newegg had 50 bucks off on it when I ordered.
