What would be the best way to connect the U2311H to my MBP? Via display port or DVI? I haven't used or purchased an external monitor for a while so I don't know anything about this new display port connector. What should I purchase to be able to use the Dell U2311H with my Macbook Pro?

So, Dell is having a deal for the 2311H for 249 with free shipping. There's also a 400+75 gift card deal going on which would net me a free 75 bucks. I was wondering if someone would be willing to split the cost with me for a monitor saving you $37.5 (211.5 + tax). I already spoke with dell and they said I could add another address after submitting an order prior to it shipping out. (clarification, sending each monitor to different locations for no added cost)

Would anyone be willing to take part in this (PM me I guess or just reply)? I think I have decent SA-Mart credentials. Otherwise on the flipside if you're interested in the transaction and have decent reputation I could Paypal you instead.

I guess for people who want to buy the more expensive things (especially since the 24 is having a sale in Canada), you could just buy the gift card for a single monitor purchase.

I might be interested. I just posted in this thread http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3193208
I'm hoping I will be able to receive some sort of discount for the U2311H.
Do you know how long the U2311H will be on sale for?

I just purchased the U2311H about 6 hours ago... I'm glad I did because the price just shot up by $30!

I just purchased a Dell U2414H for only $200 with free shipping at the Dell Outlet store. They have a great deal going on right now so I decided to just go ahead and purchase it. I bought it for work since the monitor I have now is an old 4+ year old 17 or some inch monitor that really hurts my eyes. The computer I have has a VGA or Displayport so thats why I decided to go ahead with the U2414H (Also since I got a great deal on it). Did I make the right decision? Seems like some of the Dell S line of monitors are a little bit cheaper but only have a VGA output. Although I don't mind spending the extra cash since I will be looking at this monitor 40+ hours a week.

Also, the monitor comes with a Mini-DP to DP cable. Will I be able to connect my computer DP directly to the Mini-DP on my new monitor?

I currently have this computer: http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkC...rds=ThinkCentre
Lenovo ThinkCentre M73 with a VGA and DisplayPort output. If I have one monitor with VGA and another with DisplayPort, will I be able to do dual monitors or will a special card / adapter be required?

I'm in the market for a 2nd monitor. Currently I have a 2080 Super with one LG 27GL850 27'' monitor (1440p 144hz IPS etc.) - https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27GL850-gaming-monitor

The 2nd monitor that I have been looking is this LG that has the same frame but lower resolution as my current monitor - LG 27GL63T-B.AUS 27 - https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27gl63t-b-gaming-monitor \

I read online that some people have issues when using Nvidia G-Sync on your main display while having two different monitors? Is this something I should be concerned about?

I have 2 x 27 inch monitors and I just purchased a monitor stand for it.

I really wanted to have the monitor on my left, the 2nd monitor, to be a little bit more at an angle but right now due to how the arms of the stand are, it's not possible to have it a better angle. What are my options here?

1) Buy two individual stands?
2) Buy a stand like this which supports up to a 32" monitor? https://www.amazon.com/HUANUO-Dual-Monitor-Mount-Stand/dp/B07QR48YLB/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=huano+32&qid=1590598825&sr=8-3

All my monitors are on individual stands, and I greatly enjoy the amount of flexibility that provides.

Granted, all my monitors are also all sorts of wacky sizes (ultrawide, 1440p, 4k, 1080p) so it's not like any of them would really ever be at home coexisting on the same stand anyway :v:

Are your individual stands the ones that are gas powered and can go all directions or just the static one that I recently bought (picture above)?

I bought a different Huano dual monitor arm (this one) for my similar setup of dual 1440p 27" and it works great - once I dialed the gas piston to the right tension my monitors move super freely.

One caveat though, coming from a monitor arm like your pictured one but for a single 27", is I did need to move my desk back from the wall more than I wanted in order to make space for the lower parts of the arms to be bent back towards the wall, allowing the top parts of the arm to come be close together on a vertical plane, but still my preferred distance away from the edge of the desk I sit on. I also has to offset the mount point to the left of my desk so that I could have one monitor front and center and the second one at more of an angle. (I can try to draft up a terrible image for more clarity)

My desk is comparatively tiny to the total width of the monitors though - only 48" wide by 24" deep - so depending on your own dimensions and preferred monitor set up, this might not be an issue, but just a heads up for something I didn't consider fully before buying a stand.

EDIT: terrible mspaint images, proportions are way off but idea is there I think

That's a good point! I ended up just getting two of these stands right here, same brand - https://www.amazon.com/HUANUO-Monitor-Mount-Stand-Bolt-Through/dp/B07Z7YNCBW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Anyone else have a 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor but they change the size of the text, apps, and other items from 100% to 125%? I feel like 100% is way too small.
