Sherman specifically refrained from killing women and children. The NCR chose a different path.

The NCR is operating two military bases, several outposts, and is the only reason Caesar hasn't murdered or enslaved everyone in the area. This is alongside building rail line (until the Powder Gangers staged a jail break), operating a concrete quarry, establishing sharecropper fields, managing caravan traffic in and out of the region, and shipping relief supplies to Freeside. The NCR is a dumb, bloated bureaucracy, but they are doing plenty of things in the region. Edit: and the real money flow is out of the NCR and into House's coffers. So hey, about modding, I tried using FNVLODGen and it did not work right at all. The way it seems is as if the newly generated stuff is displayed, but all the standard distant objects are made invisible. A closer picture:  Apparently I don't have any other screenshots from before I disabled/deleted all that stuff to get back to the entirely functional vanilla LODs. Any ideas? Any suggestions for what settings to use when re-running generation to see if I can make it work, or at least get closer to diagnosing the problem?

I'd suggest using XLodGen instead of FNVLodGen. The Viva New Vegas modding guide should also have a walkthrough on the right way to generate LODs. I'm phone posting so I can't exactly go into detail.

poo poo, so it was JIP all along that was causing the negative effects of alcohol to not be applied. I was prepping a low intelligence run once and I was going to use high survival and alcohol to get the right effect, but JIP seems to have removed the scaling detrimental effects.

Since my last post a few weeks ago in this threat, I got my mod process all set up (thank you for the offer of help, though, thread!) and I'm loving it. Right now I've reached, I think, the tipping point between all factions and have to make a call which will fail some quests for some factions etc. Like I can't go to the Hoover Dam and day I got rid of the great hkans (which I did via my Speech 100) because it auto puts me into the next NCR quest and fails like 5 quests for me. I love this game, particularly because I LOVED fallout 1 and 2,butbthen never played any fallout games after that until this one. There's a very particular Fallout vibe and this game captures it beautifully, thank u Obsidian My mods are WME, EVE, NMC medium texture pck, NVAC, and URWLNV, plus an orange tint remover and pip boy interface upgrade. Anything in missing, in yalls opinion? I just started the Old World Blues DLC and while the humor started getting WAY too cute and nerdy, it's an interesting deviation. Anyway, game owns, Legion are purposefully bad, I sort of want to side with NCR since they were the first major players introduced to me in the game and I've been helping them out the longest, but I also want to kill everyone except the followers.
