Something thats really annoying me listening to RadioIO so far is the The Car Store commercial(s). It's almost a direct rip off of a track from Royal Space Force OST.

Right now they are replaying an old Bubba show (on radioIO) from when they first started at Sirius.

Getting really annoyed with radioIO. It's been the same commercials for months now and a few of of them is really shady.

The whole, coinsatwholesale.com, coinsofkings.com, shopnumis.com, are all a MLM scheme they advertise. The advertising is great "Don't invest in a savings bond, buy modern numismatic coins" If you dig around at coinsatwholesale.com a part of the javascript forwards you to url = "https://www.shopnumis.com/coinsrcool";. On that redirected page if you look at the top is the contact info of: Tom@TomBean.org. They re-brand the page for the different MLM "agent".

Is this the real Tom Bean? Why yes the email is on an official press release http://www.vartv.com/pdf/Bubba_2008_11_24.pdf

So here you have the CEO of the company using it for advertising of a MLM of https://www.numisnetwork.com/ he's involved in (god knows at what levels), yeah not subscribing on principle. Perhaps SiriusXM was right, I wouldn't pick up the phone and call Tom Bean either.

The funny part? A few yeras ago blts.com ran Wordpress and Bubba spent at least one segment a day bitching out his webguy (I think it was Chip?) about how slow and lovely the site was.

Nah the original site was running on Joomla around chips time. Problem isn't the underlying engine but every time they comment on it the resolution is to throw more http/app servers at the problem. Example they mentioned the other day that the radioio platform is running off of ~60 servers which seems crazy. I'm wondering if they even use caching to unload the db calls and CDN delivery of the the heavy content/images.

I picked up a virus one day while I was logged into RadioIO, but I really cant say for sure thats where it came from. Other connections I had going were all to trusted sites, so thats what made me assume it came from RadioIO, but honestly I cant say for sure.

Just a quick summary the hosting servers for Bubba's sites (bubbaarmy.com, bubbaraw.com, btls.com) were infected and hosting malware. Any hotlinks (images hosted on those sites) that were posted to other forums such as SFN caused warnings also.

RadioIO was unaffected as their servers are managed/hosted by a different company.

It would be pretty amazing to have Sal sit in (for a bit) if Robin leaves. I can picture the bit of them dressing Sal up in drag/blackface and doing his impression of Robin while Howard rips him/her to shreds.

Quite possibly the best bit for a long time, and therapeutic for the show.

For anyone who's curious radio IO put out their 10-Q filing today. Some highlights of the madness.

quote:

During the quarter ended March 31, 2011 and 2010, the Company incurred net losses of approximately $248,000 and $232,000, respectively, while cash provided (used) by operations was approximately $463,000 and ($133,000). The Company has not attained a level of revenues sufficient to support recurring expenses.

In June 2010, the Company issued 16,000,000 shares of its common stock to related parties in connection with the conversion of debt. Entities controlled by Thomas Bean received 10,000,000 shares and entities controlled by Alex H. Edwards received 6,000,000 shares.

On April 4, 2011, the Company’s board of directors approved the following actions:
The issuance of 3,000,000 restricted common shares to each of the directors, Thomas Bean, John Stanton, and Alex Edwards, in lieu of any compensation, which would have been received during the previous five years of service through December 31, 2010;

In April 2011, the Company issued 10,000,000 restricted common shares to the Bubba the Love Sponge Show and related personnel as part of the agreement with the Bubba the Love Sponge Show to provide content for Radioio Live.

They have increased sales %61 in Q1 but somehow loosing 7% more per the 2010 quarter, of course the fans couldn't stop the stock from totally tanking today almost loosing 50% of its value.

There's a great image floating around an investor forum.

Thats the subscriber only channel with a max of 330 concurrent listeners in the past month from ONE server. There's a possible max of 5 servers in the BTLS/RadioIO cluster that stream from so they are in some serious trouble.

Big news from the BTLS world today as they announced all the content would be going free for all. The early enlisters and subscribers have access to download content but that's the only feature for paying. I guess they found it too costly to "secure" their streams and decided their business model wasn't working.

Last stab at gaining advertisers and trying to stay afloat.

The pool of the remaining fans are going to be burnt by this if they don't get a refund from the non existent IWDM cash flow.

Viktor

The BTLS forum on SFN was shut down over the fallout this week. In less then a month of trolling Bubba via twitter and his blog ludlow's totally dismantled Bubba.

Seriously as a former fan the show is unlistenable.

Here's an example of the afternoon show, on Friday by new talent Shannon Burke. He spent over an hour taking calls from listeners about what car he should get without giving any details. On Tuesday and Thursday it was railing on OWS because they reportedly displaced the organic farmers market. Not to mention spending a whole day post death of Job's talking about Apple and the cloud. This is the best show at the moment

Ledge show at night is NWO, 9/11(tons on loose change), big banks, and free market stuff.

RadioIO is going to implode in the next few months stock has gone from .50 to .04 over the past year. The should also run out of cash this quarter but hey Bubba got his raceway out of the deal and seems to be aligning to go back to clear channel.

25 went out in a blaze of glory because he said "F U" deadpan serious to Bubba on air (IO) then was never heard from again. When Bubba quit Sirius it was a slow downhill from there, after Spice left the show it's been a noticeable decline.

Read a news story, short discussion, followed by old bits somewhat relevant. That's what the show has been reduced to.
