Yea, does the fence have any effect on movement or line of sight? Can the enemy mechs hit the tents from where they are right now? What does void sig do exactly?

It's near immune to crits with all that ammo and both CASE II on top of reinforced structure. So yeah, more armor than an Atlas, about as much structure as 2 Atlases, enough ammo to wipe out a battalion and change (remember, this poo poo is Streak so misses don't use ammo), stacking resistances to critical hits, immunity to headcaps, AND enough damage to make wiping out that battalion pretty quick. So what you're saying is the clans of this era ought to field some in their next mission, somehow?

So basically our brave pilots will have to kill more then two mechs for every one they lose. Or will there be friendly NPC mechs involved in the fight? This is going to be one hell of a difficult fight to win.

"Winning" is not on the table, prima facie. The raiders that don't just wade into the compound will presumably be up on the ridges to shoot down at the targets, so you could push them off, that would be fun.

Triage - The smaller they are, the easier they die. Fancy tech is all well and good, but light mechs versus Clan weaponry is usually short and one-sided. If you can hit a light 'mech or have good odds against its modifiers, do so. Range - The majority of stuff for this level IS is generally 15 range max, the occasional 18, plus LRMs and ERPPCs. Keep your distance and you should be able to get into advantageous situations. Should: There will be surprises.

People wanted to see my fluff so here it is: Introducing the VND-5R Counterinsurgency Battlemech Sometimes no amount of mustache twirling and sleeping with murder cults can keep those lazy servitors in line. In times like these we have no choice but to swiftly and mercilessly put them back in their place and the Vindicator 5R does this like nothing before. It is lightning fast and able to leap tall buildings and other obstacles with incredible ease. 10 small pulse lasers and ample heatsinks allow the VND-5R to cut through rag tag bands of rebel infantry like they weren't even there and keep doing so for as long as necessary. Such firepower can easily demolish any improvised combat vehicles or armed industrialmechs they may have assembled. You may find yourself wondering if the 9.1 million cbill price tag is worth it but that just shows them that you mean business.
