Bummer on that parlay. Out of curiosity what would the return have been if they let it stand minus the dj fight?

I put in 50 and would have gotten about 800

I think it's pretty stupid to say he has a gambling problem. He might not be a winning sports bettor but from what I gather Jase does very well for himself. So the amount of money he's lost is probably quite inconsequential to his life and lifestyle and can be written off at cost of entertainment.

he is a grown man and if he is in a position to where he can put down $50,000 on any kind of bet then he is doing okay enough to gamble the way he does. he is also informed and his betting habit is based on educated bets and the occasional longshot.

$50k once on one of the safest bets in modern sports betting isn't a sign of habitism. His other bets are definitely high stakes and have regularly been in the 4 figure range, but if he can afford it, then i don't think its any worse than dropping $50 a month on sports betting. i have regulars at my book that have put in 4 figure parlays on baseball and football, but they also have designated as such that they can afford to do it. if its within your means and done responsibly, then i don't see it as a problem. if jase has done five figure bets in the past on longer odds betting, assuming he's not in the 7+ figure range, then yes, i would agree he has a problem.

it used to be a license to print free money. if you knew anything about the sport at all you'd see insane value on every card. frankie edgar / bj penn 2 springs to mind. lol.

nowadays, occasionally you'll get insane odds like lamas being the underdog against knight or gunnar being the like +200 underdog against loving tumenov but it's a lot better generally
vegas is smartening up when it comes to mma but you'll still see some really weird lines for fighters that feel way unjust.
