Its not stupidity, whoever was giving it to her knew the benefits of it. Its a drug that enhances cardio efficiency and is used to treat people with Chronic heart failure, giving them increased exercise ability. Why would a tennis athlete, a sport dominated by stamina be taking that? Who can guess?

It was on the watch list for all of 2015 so unless she (or any of her management) just didn't read any official WADA information for all of last year her excuse has already been exposed as bollocks.

This drug being banned now has caught a lot of endurance athletes so far this year.
