But people die from bricks or flower pots that fall from balconies? Those will go far slower than 100mph and are less aerodynamically shaped to kill you.

According to Reuters, a NTC source claimed that he had already died of his wounds.

However, knowing that this is Libya, I wouldn't put too much to it until it has been confirmed by eye witnesses. Until that time the man is both free, captured and dead all at the same time. Quantum-Gaddafi.

Well then all he has to do is rally a comeback and he can leap into another body!

Yes I'm sure they will have nightmares about giving a leader responsible for so much pain and suffering over the course of a 42 year iron hand rule a humiliating, pathetic end.

Or they might have nightmares about beating a delusional old man to death, realizing that they've personally bloodied their hands on someone who was at their utter mercy, dictator or not. Personally killing someone, regardless of their ideology or past crimes isn't something that you can just wave away with "well he deserved it so they won't feel bad"

I am not sure if this is meant a joke or not but if this threat is for real i would take that Tala Ezedien stated if do tell or show my real name that my real name would just go through her and her family friends who might have terrorist contentions, connections either within the American government or other country on how to track people.

Then when the moment she would call them if thats what she claims thats her real name that is, even though i am not even Sryian i am not surprised i was targeted after all there is an old saying those who insult show signs of mentally instability within them.

I get the feeling that when I ask you to provide an actionable set of criteria to differentiate between the 2, it's going to be like those old-school porn laws i.e. "I know it when I see it".

I don't think Maher ever stated that any of the religions he discussed were "a cancer", and he actually sat down with pastors/priests/rabbis instead of making a movie where Muhammad fucks underage children.

How many americans have been killed in Syria so far? I'm really hoping that US intervention and the inevitable escalation won't be brought about by the death of a crazy person.

I kind of hope he isn't in Aleppo or anywhere in Syria really, as weird and amazing his existence is. He's either gonna get his rear end killed or get pushed over the edge by some kind of brain-shattering horror at the very least.

Apparently he came under attack by snipers, and the group he was with shot down a water tower that was on top of an apartment building to deprive them of cover (if I'm remembering correctly).

Baby Huey Newton posted:

As the Arab League report clearly states, there was an initial popular protest movement (the reasons for this are complex and have to do with the changing economic makeup of Libya and Syria from nationalist-bourgeoisie and proletariat to labor aristocracy and comprador-bourgeoisie) which was initially met with resistance by the government but then withered away. It increasingly became replaced with the Free Syrian Army and various militias/contras backed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia funneled through Libya, Afghanistan, Egypt, Turkey, and U.S. imperialist bases. As government violence decreased, militia violence increased, and the western imperialist powers ramped up propaganda and calls for intervention. As of this moment, there is no popular movement left except those remnants that want an end to all violence and are not allied to either side.

This failed because of Russia and China, and despite recent efforts to force Turkish intervention, the majority of the population supports Assad and the overwhelming majority opposes foreign intervention. We are facing a situation of civil war between the government (and the majority of the population who wants the violence to end) and foreign fighters. Perhaps at one time there was a chance for a popular movement, but because of the class character of the initial movement, the geographical importance of Syria for Zionism, and the imperialist machinations in the region, there are now only two sides to choose from and this thread is clearly on the side of foreign invasion and subsequent looting and death in Syria.

Hope this helps explain a little more the reality of where I'm coming from.

Sorry if I come off as pedantic, but it seems like you're throwing around a lot of terms without knowing what they mean.

I was just doing some research on Monsanto for a sustainability project, and on their website they list Syria as one of the places that they invest in. Since this has been going on for over a year now, that can't be a mistake, can it?
