This is good stuff man, snagged it on bandcamp.

Me too! Took a song or so to really get into it (I'd just been listening to bouncy video game music) but quickly got sucked into the doomy vibe of the album and was over before I knew it. Looking forward to giving it a few more spins

I mean Mirror Reaper is a good album but it only really gets going after the accessible first track. No doubt it's just there to be a catchy single

Who'd have guessed it, both the new Torche and Lingua Ignota records are great. The Torche record is only 36 minutes but hey, it just wouldn't be Torche if it wasn't short and sweet.

New Cult of Luna record is out and while I fell off their latest stuff a little bit (save for Mariner), I've given this one a shot and it is an absolute beast. Gonna take some time to digest but was pretty enraptured by the whole thing:

Also, Glaswegian as gently caress psychedelic madmen Cosmic Dead have a new LP out, causing severe bouts of head nodding. loving love them and can't wait to see them yet again:

Also because people apparently can't stop releasing albums this week here's the new Torpor album for some top bleak, doomy sludge metal:

The Thou / ERR collab comes out this week, very excited

Not been this excited for an album in a long while honestly. Still have fond memories of those Roadburn shows.

I was absolutely a massive loving stoner since I first got into SDS around 2006-2007. The two often went hand in hand but I dropped the habit a few years ago due to just being loving weary of being high - the clarity, the extra money in the bank, the motivation to do more hobbies and not coughing my lungs up have all been very welcome side effects of stopping! It also got to the point where I'd used to feel relaxed, I'd just feel anxious as hell instead and I don't need that in my life.

But this year, my partner (who was never the type to dabble before now) was curious about weed for helping relieve their arthiritis and learned to cook edibles so I've occasionally jumped back in on Friday nights when I've got nothing going on. It's been nice as a treat especially when I have time to listen to some heavy loving music or something nice and trippy. Holy poo poo though - you get so much more for your money making edibles compared to smoking. We've got 40+ goddamn cookies in the freezer made from one bag and each one will sort you out for a whole evening.
