The 2011 Topps 60 relic reprints are pretty cool but kinda goofy looking. I pulled an Ernie Banks out of a pack that I bought as a whim which is kinda neat. It's this card (but number 15/60)

eviLduke posted:That is a sweet card, what's the value on it? I am trying to organize a SA box break in the football card forum. Any interest in here? It's a pretty cool Ernie Banks card. No way I'd sell it for less than way, way more than it's worth. DrGonzo90 posted:I asked my local card shop guy about jumbo boxes, he says they're really tough to get ahold of. Is there any way to get them or do I just have to get lucky when the next series comes out or pay above retail on ebay? Blowoutcards dot com has jumbo boxes for about $141, but I don't know if that's a good place to buy from or not. purkey fucked around with this message at 06:15 on Apr 19, 2011 |

No longer. When 75 percent of New Orleans residents had left the city, it was primarily immoral, welfare-pampered blacks that stayed behind and waited for the government to bail them out. This, as we know, did not turn out good results.

FreelanceSocialist posted:Figured I'd post this here, but I came across all my old cards. Is it worth going through and listing them on eBay or here on SAMart? I have a ton of Nolan Ryan, Canseco, Glavine, Mattingly, Bonds, Frank Thomas, McGwire - basically all the stars from the late 80's, mid 90's. Have a signed Yastrzemski, etc. What should I do with all these? I don't care about top dollar, they just need to go somewhere/ to someone who gives a poo poo. Cards from the late 80s/90s are pretty much worthless for the most part.

Bigass Moth posted:I'm confused why on ebay sometimes this card goes for $1000+ and sometimes it is $20. What's the difference? The $20 ones might be the 2010 reprint that is usually intentionally confusingly listed.

I see where you guys are coming from, but I just want a shot at some cool cards from the Giants. I know that the hockey thread randomed a team or two with the best hits, maybe Gordie would have some ideas about that.

It's not a big hit or nearly as cool as any of the vintage cards posted, but I like this one that I just pulled today

Nah, just says multi-color relic patch. Not even the usual stuff about not being from any specific game or event.

Antifreeze Head posted:I'd be game for something like this. There was also some talk about a year ago of doing one draft style with 5 or 6 people - get a high value team with your top spot then the team you really want 2nd or 3rd. I'm up for this type of draft, but not really down for selling a possible big hit since that kind of the fun of doing this kind of thing!

I say we do a randomized draft and do the coin flip for multi-player cards

I pulled a near pristine ARod SP rookie that I somehow managed to eventually put a pretty decent crease in over the years. Other than that, I guess a Ernie Banks game used bat #/50 from a random pack of Topps last year. purkey fucked around with this message at 04:33 on Apr 2, 2012 |

It's in pretty awesome condition still, I can't tell from ebay if it would be worth it to have it graded or not. It would probably only be an 8 or 8.5 I bet... Yes, get that graded.
