Well, the murder was in self-defense. The "worst" things he'd done, in the eyes of the law at least, were probably evading arrest and neglecting to take Aiko to a hospital.

God, it's going to be insanely depressing once it's revealed what the aliens are doing, isn't it? I was kind of hoping that the aliens were just going to be stage dressing but they're probably going to wind up important, and it's going to really suck.
