This looks like the knockoff art you see on the side of a funhouse in a parking lot carnival.

I love Frank Quitley. He has such a cool stylized art style. I loved every issue he drew of Batman and Robin, and his artwork for All Star Superman has become iconic.

He can be a fantastic artist, but sometimes it seems like the dude can only draw one face, whether it's a man or woman. His run on The Authority was just comically bad.

That isn't true at all.

I'm mainly blaming the appalling faces here, the rest of it was fine, but god drat those faces were a real laugh.

I was actually surprised to learn that it was him. He's not my favourite by any means but I did like his work on She-Hulk; it was lighthearted and fit the tone. I can recognize his style in this X-men page now, but it definitely doesn't seem up to his standard, and the cheap-looking inking and colouring does it no favours.

Has the guy had a stroke or something? His shehulk books looked great.

JRJr might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he can draw a great Spider-Man.

For some reason I absolutely love this cover, and got it signed by him at Kapow.

I wonder if this would have looked better before the colour, as it is it looks like New York rain is really sudsy.

Wolverine's supposed to be a short, hairy manimal. Frankly, the disgustingly hairy '80s pornstar with more bodyhair than apes suits him.

Not all the X-men have to look like models. Especially when Cyclops is extremely thematically opposite, being tall and slim and handsome.

But manimal is quitelys only look. Everyone has a tiny flat face gurning out from a weird potato head. Male or female, bruiser or Beauty. God, when the authority switched over to him was like my least favourite comics moment ever.
