If they want to make softcore they should just make it and not veil it as being anything but. I really dont care about "comics are for manchildren"--if a person thinks a Milo Manara PG-13 Xmen comic does that, too bad. His craft is of course better than Land's but if you read that comic, you see it for what it is; a sexy/cheesy romp that is actually meant to be drawn and look that way. Manara brings his own tone and it becomes different, compared to a Land (or other guys like Ed Benes and his crazy butt shots) where they stick "sexy anatomy" in tense or serious conflicts. Now, should Marvel publish silly/sexy XMen comics like that? Maybe not, but its the best version of that type of book and maybe someone discovered Manara out of it, and that is pretty cool.
