Really dumb question but sometimes I download something that is just a bin file and an svf file claiming the contents of the bin file. I assume the files are inside the bin, but I have no idea how to extract the bin, other than maybe chmoding +x and running it on linux, but how would I go about this in windows? I can't seem to mount it, anyone else do this from windows? Or is everyone else just extracting them in Linux?

I'm getting tons of "Repair failed, not enough repair blocks", why is this? I use binsearch and sabnzbd.

Vykk.Draygo posted:Neither of those two things are the reason for that error. The reason is content owners requesting DMCA takedowns of the files. The providers then break the files just enough that the files can't be repaired. The only way to really combat this is to have a second provider (usually a block plan) as a backup. You'll never be 100% safe from DMCA takedowns though. When you say backup do you mean I can configure sabnzbd to look at a backup for missing parts? Or do I have to completely reconfigure? I could get another provider but I'm not even sure how that would work configuration wise.

Anyone else having this problem. Trying to figure out if it's Supernews or Comcast trying to throttle me. Supernews doesn't/wouldn't throttle. Comcast definitely would, but this is why you need to get a VPN. But I doubt Comcast is throttling either, your connection is probably just lovely for that timeframe.

suddenlyissoon posted:Right now I'm running NZBGet, NZBDrone, Transmission, and Mylar on an old Revo 3610 that has an Atom 330 & 2 gb of memory. It's pushed to its absolute limits and it's definitely hurting my download speeds and stability. I was thinking on trying to find a good deal on an Intel NUC, an SSD and some memory to build one. After seeing some of the black friday ads, I'm now thinking I could probably just buy a pre-built desktop for a couple hundred cheaper than I could do this myself. Outside of the obvious power usage difference, how dumb of an idea is this? I'm using NZBGet, but I don't understand the purpose of using NZBDrone with it. Doesn't NZBGet have the functionality of NZBDrone but not the other way around? I'm trying to justify using both.

I use PIA for VPN, and supernews for usenet. When I'm connected to VPN, usenet barely seems to work through NZBGet no matter where I'm connected, but web traffic seems fine. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. EDIT - It appears that NZBGet stays connected for a minute or two, but then the speeds drop off to 0k. EDIT2 - I started different download and it worked fine, I guess I didn't know that it's possible to have a download on usenet that just doesn't work at all. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I can't seem to get nzbget's remote web console to work. Can anyone point me to documentation that explains how to get it working? Or can anyone explain quickly how I can get the remote interface to work?

EL BROMANCE posted:It's all set up in the Security tab, then just point to the ip with :8080 after it (think that's the default) from another machine on the internal network. If by remote you mean out of the house, then you need to forward the port in your router for to point to that IP and then do the same but with your outgoing ISP IP. The port is 6789, and out of the box it listens on 0.0.0.0, but still doesn't work from any other machine, only my local machine. Is anyone else having this problem? I can't even hit the process from another machine on the same network, I'm using a fresh install of Windows 7 and the latest stable nzbget.

I want to start using an RSS TV gathering program, I hear Sonarr is the best, but doesn't NZBget have an RSS capability? What's the difference? Is it just worth sticking with NZBget since I already use it? Or is Sonarr actually going to give me a huge benefit that I don't see?

Is there a command line search tool for binsearch or nzbclub? Has anyone written anything like this? Or would I have to write something to do this?
