I'd have to say that 'Midway' is one of my favorite SGA episodes; the end was pretty great. As for SG-1, I would have to say it's the episode with the battle over the Arctic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLr7ncibUzU&t=0m19s Has anyone answered the question about the supposed tensions between RDA and Shanks? What caused it? Are there any sources that can confirm it?

I always thought that Sheppard was way smarter than he let on. He'd actually shut McKay up on many occasions with his logic. eg. "But... what? Yea.. I guess you're ... right."

I actually started watching the Stargate franchise with Atlantis back when it premiered in '04 and only got to SG1 when it was already canceled. That being said, I remember how awesome it was to have all TEN seasons of SG1 at my finger tips, so I really envy the people who are just getting into it now. I watched every episode in one summer about 4 years ago and did I ever look forward to getting home from work for about 4 or 5 months straight. As for SGU, I really had a hard time liking it in season 1 ... I disliked every character (not their acting skills) except maybe Eli. Everyone were pretty much dicks or I just couldn't emphasize with them. But season 2 was very good in my opinion and I actually started liking the characters because they became more of a family. I really enjoyed it; especially the 2nd half. Anyway, I have these random observations about 'Midway'(SGA, Season 5?), which was definitely in my top 3 Atlantis episodes of all time. I'm not sure why I am mentioning them, but: 1. Holy crap I didn't realize how big Ronan was until I saw him standing next to Teal'C. As I recall, he's even taller than him. 2. I really love (seriously) how Sheppard randomly shoots the communication screen when he's through talking with that Wraith commander on Midway. Turn it off and walk away? Nope. SHOOT IT! Sheppard rules so much. I guess it didn't matter any way since the entire station blew up. 3. I found it funny that Coolage was the first one to wake up from the massive Wraith stun grenade. Also, where were all the SG/security units? I just realized this Fall will be the first time Stargate will not be airing new episodes in 15 years

I've also recently been going through SG1 and Atlantis again since SPACE is playing every episode in order, three times a day. What an awesome show. For some reason, though, I am enjoying SG1 much more than Atlantis this time through. Last time was the opposite. It's weird! The only thing that kinda annoys me about the shows is that, just before every commercial, it plays a little stargate-related graphic with the SG1/SGA logo and music. It does the exact same thing after the commercials end, too. It really takes away from the tension and drama and is just generally annoying. Am I the only one who hates this?

IIRC this was why Carter was moved over to Atlantis for Season 4 - they still had a year on Tapping's contract and decided to keep her on. What about the other cast? Were they still on contract? If so, did they get paid for doing nothing?

I've always wondered why Ba'al was vastly more "sane" and non-delusional compared to the rest of the crazy, ego-maniac Goa'ulds. I know they were putting on a charade, but it seemed like they sometimes truly believed they were gods. But not Ba'al. He seemed like a completely, normal (though evil) human, especially when he's not in Goa'uld-voice mode. This was especially noticeable after the defeat of the system lords. Was he just more willing to adapt to his circumstances? Has it ever been explained why is he so different?

I guess one of the good things to come out of it is how awesome/more awesome Ba'al became. Sorry for the spoiler tags, just being extra careful. Anyone here following Stargate on SPACE in Canada? It's pretty awesome. They play every episode of SGA and SG1 in order and just reboot it back to season 1 once they have finished the series.
