I systematically binged through all of SG-1 a few years ago, in fact I think I caught up as season 10 was airing. I remember they were making a feature length stargate film set after the season 10 had ended? Did that ever happen and was it any good?

There were two SG1 movies. Ark of Truth wraps up the Ori storyline. Continuum involves Baal, and is therefore awesome. Both are good actually.

The only suck part of Atlantis in the first season is Tayla. God her character was so bad.

Teyla sucked fairly consistently.

In honour of the demise of the Stargate franchise, I've been rewatching my favourite episodes of SG1 and Atlantis. Turns out, that's more episodes than I initially thought.

McKay is easily my favourite character from the franchise. The rapport between McKay and Shepard was fantastic. If only the show wouldn't have had Teyla and Weir, the main cast would've been perfect.

Teyla does pretty effectively suck the fun out of anything. I remember in one episode she got mad at Shepard when he promised so save some colonists "if he could". What? As opposed to what? If he magically farts out a causality bending unicorn and saves them even if he can't?

God drat what a horribly written character.

Yes, that one truly sucked. I wanted to strangle her every time she used the words 'my people' in that whiny voice.

Just rewatched Continuum, and I dunno if I missed something but I'm confused. Mitchell goes back to 1929, using Baals time machine. He gets himself onto grandpa's ship in 1939, and helps thwart Baals plan. What then happened to Mitchell, being stuck in 1939?

Did he just live out his days there, and was 'another' Cam Mitchell born because his granddad was still alive?

The banter between Sheppard and McKay is some of the best stuff the Stargate franchise has produced, in terms of character chemistry.

I recently got Netflix, and when I saw Atlantis on there, I decided I'd watch some of the best episodes. Your Tao of Rodney, your The Game, your The Shrine, and all the season premieres and finales (because boy, do I love me some space battles).

Then, I started to check out which other episodes I had fond memories of. Now I've watched every single one, except for two that are mainly about Teyla.

Before now, I didn't know I missed this franchise so much. And I can't even drown my sorrows with SG-1, because that isn't on Netflix for some reason...
