SG1 was pretty good until MacGuyver and Daniel had an offscreen fight and they almost never appeared in the same scene again. (Also MacGuyver was phoning it in so hard by the mid seasons he could've put Nokia out of business.) SG1 got better when Crichton and Erin travelled through a wormhole and arrived though.

Atlantis felt much like TNG in that it was neither good nor bad it was just there. Never watched SGU.

The best SG1 episodes were easily much better then the best TNG and DS9 episodes (and the worst episodes not as bad) but it never reached the level of writing and drama that B5 and Farscape did.

Yeah Teal'c explains it to a kid when he gets an apartment goes crazy on Earth. They carve the shape into their forhead and pour molten gold into it.

What happened?

And yeah, the phoning in was just painful.

IIR when it first aired there was stuff in tv gossip mags about them having a falling out. It was 10 years ago though so I have no idea if you can find anything about it.

They should have kept her as a little girl, she was so much creepier and benignly threatening than the hamtacular adult version.

I liked how the Ori arc started out as a series-ender but it seemed like they had too many ideas on the table and ditched the good ones for the quick and easy. There were all these references to Arthur returning like they were building to something huge, the random girl pulls the sword out of the stone and....nothing. They entirely dropped that and just continued the stretched out quest for a thing that wouldn't be resolved till a really bad tv movie.

Hey man, all those sweeping cinematics shot of Teal'c walking over mountains was totally amazing and didn't detract from the usual lean pacing of the tv series at all.
