If I wanted to get in to the manga at around the point where the anime is at now (Reiner/Bert reveal), which issue would that be?

Both Reiner and Zeke surviving is frustrating merely from the reader's viewpoint of the heroes getting so close but not quite there to killing them.

The consequences of them making their escapes, both plot-wise and what it the experience meant for the characters personally, are being handled very well. Reiner having PTSD was almost a given but it's interesting to explore, while Zeke coming out of it terrified of Levi was refreshing. Levi disassembling Monkey Business and then hounding him all the way out of Shiganshina with his tail between his legs, despite having a titan troop thrown his way, has got to be one of the most satisfying moments in the series, and it's only fitting that Zeke be left traumatized by it.

that will make an excellent sequence in the anime in 6 or 8 years

Eren as the villain is especially interesting because of his internal monologue about possibly eating Historia and taking full control of the coordinate.

If Eren eats the Beast Titan do you think he'll get to choose which form he transforms into or will he become a hybrid of the attack and beast titans?

Normally storytellers would shy away from that conflict by having Armin eaten by someone else first. But this is AoT, that’s like two issues of dialog and conflict, likely while a dangerous outside force is bearing in on them.
