I dunno, watching Eren come to the realization of "How could I forget? I REALLY HATE TITANS!" was kinda amusing, but yeah, the manga's version was pretty well done especially him grimly accepting that the world was cruel.

He's also oddly crying for unexplained reasons as well. That first chapter especially with the introduction of Eren has a lot of intriguing things that are easy to overlook on a first read-through. I didn't notice till watching the anime and going back through it again especially now we know he likes putting in very subtle foreshadowing. The chapter's title of To You, In 2000 Years I'm still curious about.
