I didn't like how Isayama just skipped what happened between chapter 66-67 and instead give us a debrief of the event after the fact.

Also, given how hideously mid heavy Rod Reiss is at this point i doubt he'd be able to scale the wall seeing as he has clearly skipped leg day

I think they're a lot more worried about him going straight through the wall rather than over it.

Awesome chapter, the story finally seems to be moving at a solid pace now. We haven't seen the Funky Monkey's human form yet have we? I want to make sure I'm not missing some huge reveal because I forgot a character.

Can someone please make a definitive list of funny monkey names to call Mighty Joe Young so we can keep discussing him without running out of names?

I'm rooting for the genocide that results in the largest number of titan vs titan wrestling matches put to paper.

I'm looking forward to Marley getting Shiganshina'ed. I probably wouldn't have given that eldian infiltrators theory too much credit if so many of the previous theories hadn't come true.

Porco getting his rear end whooped and fleeing was hilarious. Instantly in over his head the moment he shows up.

I really liked that. He was the only one who hadn't really fought other titans or 3DMG and his inexperience showed. He didn't even realize what had happened when levi slashed his jaw

I loved that, one second he was alive leading the marley shifters and then the next panel he just gets instantly killed in the background. Very cathartic seeing Levi get his revenge so efficiently.

The story’s so strong on its own that you can’t help but ask “Why is it drawing parallels to these specific people and these specific events?” And it’s the one thing that hinders enjoying the series 100%. People are always gonna be extrapolating what Isayama means to say with his story since he set the pins up in the first place, especially when the best case scenario is “he’s using these elements to seem cool without considering the wider implications” and worst case is “He’s nazi”

I like how "is considering the wider implications and also is not a nazi" doesn't even register as a possibility for you

The imagery makes people very uncomfortable and I think that a manga that deals with issues like predjudice and abusive power structures should make you feel very uncomfortable. Concretely linking the events in the story to real life events is very important in my opinion.

I don't think the story should be whitewashed to avoid bad faith arguments that ignore the content of the story and instead focus solely on the uncomfortable imagery.

I'm cool with any plan that ends with more titan fights at this point. The complex and expertly woven plot dealing with very heavy themes is cool and all, but at the end of the day I started reading for big flesh mechs beating the poo poo out of each other and that's where my heart is.

There was a leaked panel that is supposed to be the last panel of the series.

It features the attack titan holding a giant titan sized trophy made of titan crystal in what appears to be a huge stadium formed by the crystallized wall titans. You can see some of the other shifters and side characters in the background on the bleachers, some excitedly cheering, others looking dejected. A large banner can be seen hanging near the announcer's booth that reads "First Annual Grand Titan Tournament" (loosely translated)

The current running theory is that both sides realize that all out war could easily lead to the extinction of the human race, so in lieu of war, a competition is organized which kicks off the tournament arc that will determine the fates of our scrappy protagonists and the eldians as a whole.

I'm sure it's been posted about to death, but the leadup to and the reveal that Ymir was never actually bound to the royal family and had just internalized that she was is probably my favorite moment in the series. Seeing Zeke get completely and repeatedly blindsided in the Titan Realm was just so satisfying.
