Been seeing this commercial a lot lately and I can feel the insufferable coming out of my TV every time it comes on. The song says "express yourself," but every single one of these people is some wacky anachronistic by the numbers stereotyped cliche of decade styles. 1950s greaser! 1960s SoCal surfer! 1970s roller boogie queen! 1990s hip-hopsters! Express yourself, but only if it's a collective decade style and not your own!

I mean, I get what the commercial is saying in its choices, but then I hear "THAT'S A TIIIIGHT SHIRT!!" and I get pissed off again.

It's a funny commercial. They're offbeat comedians trying to play Gap model stereotypes. Not gonna shop at Old Navy or anything, but I'm happy Kumail Nanjiani can add "model" to his repertoire.

Old Navy commercials have sucked since the late '90s, when they had that golden retriever named Magic and that old woman with the owl-eyed glasses. They're both dead, but they would not be out of place today.

There was some bad blood as he did a commercial for another company that while it wasn't endorsing another system was videogame themed. Interestingly enough that wasn't the first time it happened as the classic 80's Wendy's "where's the beef?" lady got fired because she did an ad for another fast food place saying "there's the beef."
