I think I'll show off some of the colored vinyl I've accumulated over the years.

The very first one I got. Stryper - Soldiers Under Command

Some more
Anthrax - Antisocial (Live)

I Started A Joke by the Bee Gees (Side A) and Faith No More (Side b)

Cheech and Chong - Earache My Eye (2013 release)

This band's lead vocalist is one of my Facebook friends
Energy - Invasions of the Mind (album)
Energy - Walk Into The Fire (EP)

Godsmack - Cryin' Like A Bitch (Whiskey Hangover on Side B)

In This Moment - Sex Metal Barbie

One I thought I wouldn't even SEE much less own.
Judas Priest - 5 Souls

Xmas stuff from the King of Punk.
Joey Ramone - Christmas Spirit... In My House

I guess it could be a good idea to complete that George Michael collection before prices go nuts. :(

I didn't think I would get any mail today on MLK Day, but I got my surprise box from No Idea Records. It's like getting a package from that record store in my dreams, where all the records are by bands I've never heard of.

35 records, but only 34 different ones, I got two copies of a Red Money/Black Market split. There are colored ones and even a picture disc.

I think I'll get my money's worth. YAY, new bands to discover!

No Idea Records has another grab bag offer. This one is five albums for $35. They're getting my money again.

I wish someone would do this with heavy metal.

For the fans, it may be time to add to, or complete, that Tom Petty collection.

My recent vinyl:

A few weeks ago

Anthrax - For All Kings (7-inch box set, colored vinyl)

Today

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits
Judas Priest - Firepower (colored vinyl, 2 copies of album cover, one signed by the band)

And for non-musical stuff

A brand-new, unopened copy of "The Search For Bridey Murphy" given to me free when I bought the Tom Petty album. Bridey had a price of 20 cents on it.

Where did you get this? Very jealous. I think it's the best album since Painkiller btw.

It was a pre-order offer. There were only 500 available worldwide. It was a bundle that also came with a digital download that let me get FLAC files, and a copy of the CD. Well worth the $75. The code in my previous post is still good, unless someone else snatched it.

The only thing that really caught my eye is "Multiplication Rock" by Bob Dorough. I've wanted that album since I was a kid.

All I saw from this year's Black Friday Record Store Day offerings that interested me were the 7-inch picture disc of "Santa Claus and His Old Lady" by Cheech and Chong, and the 12-inch of Bing Crosby and David Bowie doing their mash-up of "Peace on Earth" and "The Little Drummer Boy".

After more than 40 years, one of our local record stores is closing down. It was in a perfect place, there is a dispensary right across the street. Score weed, score tunes. Soon, not anymore without more traveling.

RIP Independent Records Pueblo.

One reason they gave was that people are getting their music online. Record stores being killed by the same thing that's killing magazines and newspapers.

I just got my shipping notice this morning too. Apparently they are in the next city over and will arrive Tuesday according to tracking so we'll see if I have a package when I get home from work tonight or not.

You'll get an email when it's delivered. I took advantage and snagged a copy of "Moving Pictures" which was delivered today. According to tracking (USPS) it was supposed to arrive next Tuesday. Now they're doing another "free vinyl just pay shipping" sale until the 27th, but this time, it's double albums.
